I absolutely LOVE these older MDC/Roundhouse locomotives. I have a small handful of these. This november I'll be going to the local train show and be keeping an eye out for more. Last year, I found a pair for 35 dollars ,listed as non running, but i found they worked perfectly.
I absolutely love seeing videos like this from junk to treasure! I have had a few occasions of my own. But seeing someone do it is just as satisfying. Good job.
Stayed to the end!😂Loved this restoration. Watching you gives me more confidence to work on my own locos so thankyou so much. Love your videos and the skills you demonstrate!👍🇦🇺😎Max.
The clear instructions you provide has helped me out on disassembly, maintenance and repair on various n scale locomotives over the years. Thank you for the time you put into your videos. 👍
Watched entire video. I do pause and rewind as I go. I like to see some particulars up close for future reference hence the rewinding. Often if a video is loaded with information I watch it 2 or even 3 times. Thank you for posting this vintage steamer restoration. Best wishes, George
I do hate to 'toss a spanner in the works'..But I do believe she also needs the old 'superdetailing' kit, from the old days also, which adds the eccentric crank at the driving axle, and rod from it to the valve action above the pistons..IE. Right now you only have the side and main rods. Otherwise, congratulations. You have done a superb job..

RTV silicone is a much better adhesive to for motor installation.

I don’t know what happened, I decided to ignore it for now. I’ll go back to it later. I’m happy that you were paying attention.
