god some of these Ashes stories and characters, after learning about the META transformation in the last event, just makes me imagine and think about how they all pushed away memories too painful to remember, the loss of friends and comrades too dear to think about, to become servants of pure death and destruction, all in a world lost forever, fighting a never-ending battle
With the rest of the event reusing music from previous events, this really caught me off guard. What an amazing piece! And those drums (or something) at 0:15, damn! I love that!
This song is awesome and straight fired up! When my 1st fleet (Akagi, Hood, Nevada, Z23, Juno and Northampton) defeats the enemy ships, I started to attack this META girl. As Souryuu META starts attacking my fleet, the game itself goes to lag, but with my submarine fleet assistance and launching torpedoes from Juno and Z23 very close to her, I won this boss battle
This isn't B-D stages first appearence, both map and battle themes were first used in Dawn of Khorovod Rime event earlier this year. SP and Souryuu themes are new though.
@@Parasiticism no the music used in that level were completely different, a first half of that event and final boss was from northern overture the first Russian event whilst the second half of it was unique to that level only
tbh Souryuu and Hiryuu are my most favorite sakura carriers (my first set of maxed out carrier while farming in fox hell). I need their oath skins, if only they add them in the future. And seeing them getting a META counterpart really got my grinding motivation going. Oathed META Hiryuu the moment I maxed her affection lol, it was worth the grind to get a powerful Ashes member recognizing you as their commander :D. I am a newer player and this was my second ever event. The battle with her in SP pushed my team to its maximum abilities and I barely survived. This for me was a video game battle to remember!
It would be cool for them to branch out with a new geration of ship girls that are modern and have jets and cwis as a Uber super rare. They can be from another universe that is the opposite of meta
Azur lane should become a music company like Arknights. I'd buy their songs. also anyone knows what the METAs are according to lore? I've realized the english translations make no sense
The meta's are an evolution to shipgirls. The wisdom cubes react strongly to emotions, and the shipgirls will sometimes change based on strong emotions. In the case of the metas, feelings of despair, rage, or vengeance take over them, given that their worlds have been brought to ruin

Probably a lot of them are actually. Ships in general. From the info we have so far the META phenomenon is a coin toss. You either win and become your own person disconnected from the history of the ship you were based on and gain crazy powers, or fall and become Ashes. Basically your mind deteriorates and you lose yourself. I'd wager there are more ash ships than the ones who "survived". So far we only know about 5-6 ships who kept their mind.
all the destroyer/battleship will sacrifice first to protect carrier from enemy attack, beside from the story we know these carrier was sent out before the main base was destroy in one of the possible, near future of course
I managed to get all the ships and the memories, and up to that point I didn't feel anything. That, until the final fight with Soryuu, this specific soundtrack, god, I was filled with nostalgia for past games. I think it's the only really good new thing in months.

Souryuu META fight will definitely cause phones to lag, especially towards the end of the battle.
