  • Here's a travel tip for some of you. With RV sites in such high demand, tent sites are becoming more popular as RV boondocking sites. Check out these tent sites at US Army Corp of Engineer campground, Bandits Roost, located near Wilkesboro NC on the W Kerr Scott Reservoir. This review will give you a detailed look at a few very nice tent sites with a lot of camper-van and truck camper potential.

I've done a lot of tent camping in my time, but I have to quit it. This old body just can't take it anymore. That and the RV has spoiled me, lol. What a beautiful place to camp. Love the view at camp site 63. Gotta appreciate the privacy of 65.We've never camped at an Army Corp of Engineers camp site before. We're going to have to look into that. That chili looked delicious! Great camping meal. Love the "quad popper." Great video. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks for watching Bob. Yeah, same here. No tents for me either. The good RV sites are getting harder to come by around here though. At least the $12 kind, 😂. Federal and Corp parks are very affordable with a Senior Pass. So tent sites that allow camper 🚐 vans and truck campers might be an option for some people. You guys take care and keep those great travel videos coming 😃👍.

I have done some tent camping. Jessica would 100% be on Sue's team. No tent camping. She is hard enough to get out in the RV. lol I would love to do a class B at some point. I like the sites. Plus being so close to the lake is even better. I agree on the ivy. Don't want anything to do with that. Very cool to see and hear Sue in the video at the end. Great review Jurgen. Love watching your videos. Yes I agree I liked the sites closer the lake. Would have loved to have had some of that lunch. I am guessing that is long gone. lol

Lol 😂 Yup 👍 I ate the whole thing … NOT ALL IN ONE SITTING 😂😝. Sue enjoyed getting out for a change but can’t eat chili 🌶. Thanks for watching, my friend!

Oh yes. It’s a great deal. The only problem is getting in sometimes, especially on weekends. That’s not a problem for me anymore, since we just go during the week. Thank you for watching and leaving a message. I appreciate your support.

Love that you got into the COE park! Great that you got it short notice! Good to know you can book 6 months out. such a great view of the lake from some of the sites... wow 66 is big. But my 63 is what its about! And I can see why 65 is so desirable. Love that you tell how level they are.... or are not. Great review. ~ Brad and Diana

Thank you. Yes I have booked sites in advance, but something seems to always come up … doctors, weather, etc. so spur of the moment works best, but it’s tough getting a good spot. I just booked a great spot in next May … we’ll see.
Thanks for watching. Take care you two. Jurgen.

Thanks so much for watching. Yes … I love my chili 🌶. One of the few things that I like to cook. Sue used to do ALL the cooking 🧑‍🍳. Now she’s teaching me … or trying to, 😂.
