No, I figured that was just something that might go bad eventually. Besides, my trailer is not too heavy.

I’m thinking it’s more about keeping the plumbing warm. Even those expensive Lance trailers don’t talk about their R ratings. How much difference do the windows really make? Not that much in my opinion.

@@JurgensJourneys I'm sure you are correct. I guess back in the day, before the invention of thermal pane windows, homes in the great white north had regular single pane glass... I do love that camper and seriously considering buying one for my future fulltime nomadic adventures.

Thanks for your comment/question. I think mine is an old, 1991 Reese Hitch that I bought for my first camper. I went to a local trailer dealer who fixed me up with a much lower drop. I can't tell you off hand how much lower, but I'd say that you might be able to let a trailer dealer fit you with the drop that you need. My previous (part 1) video shows both the old and the new one, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if that will be of any more help to you. The main thing is to find a drop that has EXACTLY the same hole spacing and shape. I could not find one on line and had to show it to a pro before I got exactly what I needed. Yes, they might have been good for a long time yet, but I don’t like to take chances. They were never overloaded and we don’t have any long trips planned, but I ve had utility trailer tires blow up while parked at home. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for your input. I can see how that could be a problem. We don’t take ours out very often anymore, but it has been a real blessing for Sue to be able to get outside, even at home.

It has always worked well for me. It must be done properly though, or it could cause serious problems and expensive repairs, especially in very cold climates. Our winters in North Carolina are not that cold.

Great choice! But good luck finding a new one these days. I settled for a 23 Tahoe but I m not sure how that will work out. I still have my AWD van 🚐. Even though it’s almost 20 years old with 212k miles it looks and drives better than most 5 year old models. My wife just doesn’t trust it anymore. She thinks it’s too old (like me) lol 😂. But it doesn’t use any oil and doesn’t have any rust. Even the seats look fine. Take care and God bless you.

Good question! If you pause the video at 8:36 you can see that it does have some entertainment features, although I'm not that familiar with those details, since I'm not a dealer or salesman. I appreciate you watching and thank you for your question. I liked this floorplan too, but was not too impressed with the quality of the materials. For example, the vinyl on the seating is very thin and I doubt it will last more than 5 years before pealing. Also the pop-up outlet on the kitchen counter did not work properly. I want more for my money than this trailer offers ... but that's just my 2 cents.

Yup, Lock Picking Lawyer did that 3-4 years ago. His buddy Bosian Bill tried defeating the updated puck lock Proven came out with following LPL's video. Couldn't defeat it. Gave it full recommendation. Jurgen, at 1 year for your video, you've got as good a lock as there is. Enjoy your videos, good job.

Thank you for asking. That’s a good question that I failed to address. There is a removable table the is useful for dining.

He showed you... the table placed in the fold up mattress can be used for dining. And it's perfect for a couple's trailer. Who needs a table when you can get duel recliners facing the TV with cup holders? ;-)

You can order one with a dinette rather than the theatre seating. That's what we did. We love it with the dinette!

Good question Eric. I want to say yes, but frankly I’m not 100% sure. I do like this unit accept for the price. I should have bought this one I reviewed because it sold for $34k then, and look at them now.

@@JurgensJourneys Do you think these "XLS" ... Grand Design "lower-cost" models are as sturdy as your existing camper? I looked at a Lance 1475 with my wife last Saturday and I was blowing away by the construction... but far more stunned by the high price. Cheers, Eric

@@erickessler6094 I’m working on a Lance review right now, and agree. The Lance is my favorite, as far as construction. I’m not sure if I would pay that price though. A good used one might do well. But to answer your question, I don’t think my 2014 Winnebago is much superior to the new Grand Design. Mine is not even 4 seasons, which has not been an issue for our style of camping.

@@JurgensJourneys I've been studying several of the smaller couples trailers and upon each, they show me how remarkable the tiny Lance 1475 really is, well except for high price. For the next size category I must say, it is hard to do better than Grand Design or a single Axle. I like the Grand Design Imagine AIM16ML. My next favorite for larger it the GD XLS 22RBE. So many nice Campers, so little money 💰. 😉 Cheers, Eric
