My heart is breaking for this woman. No one should ever see their beloved one dead in such horrendous condition. The way they had to drag his body out... I know they had to do this, but this was just awful. To see this happen to your child...poor, poor woman.

I picked this major because I love learning about cultures, countries, and world history. My dream is to work in a career that benefits people from around the world. I am currently interning at a local non-profit in my city that helps refugees and immigrants. I am bilingual and can speak Spanish, so I often work with Latin American clients. But most of the refugees that the non-profit receives and provides assistance for come from Afghanistan. I believe the massive attention and support given to Ukraine is great, but it is grossly disproportionate to the attention that people from other nations have received. Rohingya refugees from Myanmar and people from places such as Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, etc. should get just as much attention and support as Ukraine is getting.
Also, the situation in Ukraine has a personal element for me because I have a close friend who I've known for years that lives in Kharkiv.

I am really tired of these comments everywhere. No one is asking for people in Asian or African countries to care about this war, it's normal if you don't care because you are too far or removed from this or have your own immediate problems, no one is judging you for that, just live your own life and worry about your own problems, instead of being surprised that EUROPEAN media outlets are covering a war happening in Europe and flooding the comment sections showing your glee for the suffering of regular people. For your information, there are millions of ordinary people in Europe who care, protest and have tried to provide help as much as they can for people in countries where the race and culture is different than their own. And there are so many documentaries and videos with sad stories of people who are not blond and people still feel empathy and express it in the comment sections, just try and type in Raqqa or any other war or sad topic you want in youtube and check the first western made documentary you get, I am sure you will see the comments full with expressions of empathy. The problem is empathy and regular individual people alone can't change much and there are too many horrors in the world for one person. We all pay most attention to the issues closest to ourselves, our family and our friends irrespective of who or from where you are.

I'm even willing to adopt a couple kids if that will help. We don't have much money at all but my home is full of love. I'm in the United States in Northern Utah. I lived in Ankara as a young lad ( 10 yrs old) back in the mid 70's. My dad flew the ambassador and top brass around for US Embassy. Though we lived in a protected restricted zone, )Chankaya Hill)I still made friends with the locals. I remember going crazy for the sweets and food. Turkish delight was my favorite.

So so sorry to the destroyed 💔 mom for her precious boy now sent to heaven.... I've never heard such blood curling screams in my life!!! I jumped 5 times. This killed me inside. I too am all cried out over this. I ❤️ these beautiful Ukrainians. I had to go to a Christian book store today to ease my pain over this guy wrenching war. I got a book about how to deal with anger. As I went to sign my name today I noticed I now have hands that are tremembling......Dear Heavenly Father God please save them in Mother Mary's name, in Jesus' name.!!!!Amen. Whatever country please fly in with your helis or planes and save them.
