assuming umbrella chronicles is canon; the same game that reduced re3’s story to ending at the rpd with nemesis simply falling off a roof and 50% of the story beats being absent.
I suppose they could just do what Street Fighter does and make certain endings/things canon. It's not an approach I particularly like, but it's something Capcom's done before.

Wesker doesn't see Leon as a threat as he never ruined Wesker's plans like Chris has. If you notice he only goes for Chris, he disarms Sheva/barely even tries to hit her, beats up Claire only because she is Chris' sister, etc. Leon, to Wesker, is harmless until proven otherwise.

As many others have said RE2R and RE3R don’t use Unreal Engine and on top of that detail rarely has anything to do with the engine used. Detail is in the texture files, and models made.
it's dependant of the engine. I. e unreal 3. The texture pop in was an issue of the engine. Same with id tech 4 it powered Rage. That's why game devolpers use different engines for different types of games.

Used also on every susequent RE, Monster Hunter Rise and DMC5. another thing to clarify. RE2 does have an adaptive difficulty setting but it's not as advanced as RE4, It doesn't affect enemy spawns (Enemy quantity is always fixed, I know because i played a lot to get an SS rank with claire) What it does affect, and i need to corroborate better, is how much ammo some pick ups have IN NORMAL and how aggressive enemies are. In the last difficulty everything however is set on maxium like in RE4 at all times, So No matter how poorly you perform , on Lunatic the difficulty never goes down. you always get the minium ammount possible for that spot, And enemies are always set in the most aggresive setting. Unlike RE4, the other difficulty settings, for what i have seen, don't affect damage you receive, the damage you get is always the same in that difficulty. And the same is for the damage you deliver. Another thing to take into account. Enemy limbs are stronger on the hardest difficulty, you won't live trying to blow enemies heads with the pistol there. And it's better to wait until you get the best weapons to take on the lickers (wich are way harder for Leon due to his weapons being better for zombies while claire are better for dogs and lickers) The combination desks are references to the simpsons, but in theory It wasn't confirmed but it's pretty probable. It's NED and MRG Flanders and Marge

This game has some impressive attention to detail. You can tell that a lot of effort went into making it. It's a shame that the RE3 remake was kind of lacking in that department. Hopefully the RE4 remake will be closer to the 2 remake.

Something i would like to add (in the franchise in general) about the flexible difficulty changing in relation to the player’s performance, i think it gets a little bit unfair with resident evil 4. I tried to do a hardcore run with no deaths, and was doing fine, only to be oneshot by the boss in the falling segments while having my life fully upgraded and filled. All other games are better balanced in that regard

I thought it was great, but I wish there was more variety between Leon and Claire's plathroughs. They're almost exactly the same. I also wish Leon and Claire interacted a bit more throughout the game. Other than that I thought this was a pretty much perfect remake.

Dynamic difficulty doesn't influence the damage of enemies in RE4. Just the drop rates of ammo and health items especially

For me. It's simply the B Scenarios and Ending. That's it. Everything else is Chef Kiss
I thought it was great, but I wish there was more variety between Leon and Claire's plathroughs. They're almost exactly the same. I also wish Leon and Claire interacted a bit more throughout the game. Other than that I thought this was a pretty much perfect remake.
