Even if spectrophotometric color calibration doesn't have your data, it's still a good idea to use it. Choose a similar sensor. You can also add sensor data by finding the graph and digitizing it. This is explained in the Siril doc.
Thanks for the heads up... I will add my sensor info as soon as I read the 1.4 docs on doing so... Same goes for all my filters. Love where things are going!
Hi Jeff, Late this summer I was able to take a few series of lights and calibration frames with my DS432cTEC. I stacked them with DeepSky Stacker but now I want to process them. I want to know if Siril is the best choice for me as a novice to improve the images. I don't want to spend hours like some do to make a perfect Horsehead Nebula image. I can just Google an image. I have been a Visual observer using my 8 and 16 inch Dobsonian for 30 years. But now I want to see some color and enough detail to identify more objects and explore the heavens. I will only have a month or two of Clear skies per year. Many Astrophotographers on RUclips like to make things so complicated which can be hard to learn. It took me a month to learn and troubleshoot my iOptron mount and MallicamSky enough to make those work. What would you recommend for stack and process software to get a better image for a casual beginner? Should I learn this new Siril? Bob Wilson member Mallincam user Group
@@jeffrh I am saving my lights , 25 to 50 images, as TIFF files. I am capturing them with the MallincamSky program recommended for my Mallincam DS432cTEC camera. The MallincamSky program will allow images to be saved as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, JPEG 2000, or TFT
@@jeffrh I am using TIFF files through the MallincamSky, for lights images (25 to 50) and TIFF for Calibration frames Darks, Flats Biases about 20 images each. I have a program, NCH Pixillion Image Converter, to convert them if required, if that is not going to change the quality.
I have used the lastest version Sirilic with this build sucessfully. I didn't try to change any of the default settings and just let her rip to see if it worked which it did. As for Sirilic intergration, I'm not sure as I believe this was developed by another group... You never know till you know. ;-)
Thanks for sharing..... Can't wait for the new release!

Can you make a video showing how to compile the files to get the dev version?
"Show distortions" comes from the platesolving result. You can click on it.
I will try that the next time I have things openned up... Thanks
The "Remover Green Noise" has been fixed
Thanks for the heads up and nice to know one of the devs took a peek at my video... ;-)

What format type of files are you saving (tiff, fits) and what program are you using for the capture?

I wonder if they’ll integrate Sirilic.
