She came back but when she came back she wasn't all there. She had good days and bad, when she was "eating boys" to feel better/stronger that was a metaphor for how some women after an assault may become hyper-sexual as a way to take that power taken from them back. All the while you see the light in her eyes isn't quite there anymore. To me at least, it seemed like the sacrifice was supposed to be the metaphor for SA then everything we see happen afterwards could be the effects of SA but with the demon/sacrifice being thrown in there it makes more of a metaphor then outright saying it. Again I could be wrong or maybe just have a different interpretation but that's what I thought when I watched it more recently
