How important it is to express our daily thanksgiving to God who provides for our needs, especially receiving the Holy Eucharist, the very life of our soul. “ Where your heart is, there is your treasure.” Thank you for sharing this beautiful passage, Fr. Matthew, to remind us on where we focus our attention and energy in life. Sometimes, we have to refrain from working so hard to accumulate riches in the world that we don’t even need. Instead of building up material wealth, why not create a better spiritual life conducive to the salvation of our souls by making time to read the Bible. Doing this, we increase our knowledge of God in His words and actions, His love, mercy and forgiveness that we must all be grateful for in our hearts.
