  • As a prominent figure among Manchester’s new generation of techno protagonists, Rudosa has established a formidable reputation. A tirelessly creative artist who injects his unwavering energy into a myriad successful ventures, he has won universal respect from across the techno world; from peers to pioneers, the dance floor and the media. Label boss at Moments In Time, owner of music school Make Me A DJ and renowned artist in his own right, Rudosa is deeply committed to electronic music culture. His unwavering dedication to music positions him as a key influence in his hometown, and further afield. Driven by love and passion for his craft, and sparking unforgettable moments on the dance floor, Rudosa has cultivated a loyal global following and continues to push the music forward, all the while staying true to the roots of techno…
Growing up in a culturally rich city like Manchester gave Rudosa the perfect grounding for his current trajectory. Schooled in venues like Sankeys, his musical growth was influenced by artists like Tiesto, Paul Kalkbrenner, Nic Fanciulli, and countless more. All of whom appeared at the legendary Manchester venue. Moving through trance, tech house and techno, he began DJing soon after leaving school and started organising his own parties in his hometown Oldham. When his peer group hit 18, he decided to step things up, eventually landing a residency at Sankeys. There he also rented a music studio and began the process of learning to make his own tunes. After attending an established music school, but being disappointed with its rigid syllabus, his natural ingenuity sparked the idea of using his own space to host one-to-one classes. This was the beginning of his music school - Make Me A DJ.
Through his residency at Sankeys, Rudosa began to make a name for himself locally, refining his skills as a selector and developing an instinctive understanding of what works on the dance floor. Following on from his experiences as a dance floor disciple, these formative years form the foundation of his ethos; that is to create moments in time that remain forever embedded in the memories of the ravers. The energy, excitement, elation and euphoria, turning around to your mate and saying, “What is going on?!” - powerful memories that transport the listener back to those moments the second they hear the track again. Experiences that are spoken about for years afterwards; life changing and life affirming.
Rudosa is an artist with a strong vision, operating thoughtfully and strategically to ensure his music gets into the right hands and has the desired effect - that is, to reach as many people as possible and create a myriad Moments In Time. This influences the core of his sound, which he adapts according to the label he’s aiming to release with. It’s a considered approach that has paid off, elevating his music and career over the last few years. Achieving notoriety and influence has given him the opportunity to support other artists, signing local producers to his label and utilising his position to nurture growth in his local scene. This is also evident in the ethos of the music school he owns, presenting the chance to give back to the culture that has had such a life changing impact on him.
One of Rudosa’s biggest releases, ‘Obsolescence’, epitomises his approach to production. Heavy-hitting, catchy, brimming with energy and merging hints of trance with a big room techno aesthetic, the track was a global success. Supported by a long list of techno tastemakers, ‘Obsolescence’, inspired the launch of Moments In Time. The track represents Rudosa’s desire to ignite the dance floor with incendiary energy and captivate the dance floor. Since its release in 2019, he has continued to develop and refine his sound, arriving at his current style, which has 90s and early 2000s influences, utilising tribal-esque percussion, designed to be played at peak-time. Releases have landed with labels such as Soma, Exhale, Hekate, We Are The Brave, Bipolar Disorder and more. While, he’s been out on the road performing at top-tier venues such as Fabrik Madrid and Warehouse Project in his hometown. At every juncture his evolution has been governed by conscious decision-making, governed by his foresight and the clear vision he has regarding how he wants to shape his career and label. The next step being Moments In Time showcases, where he will curate lineups that epitomise the label’s ethos.
Passionate, business-minded, talented and hard working, Rudosa is a consummate artist whose drive to cultivate community and use his platforms to elevate other artists makes him a key influence in Manchester’s techno scene. His hunger to push forward and progress, to achieve bigger and better goals, while also contributing to the growth of techno music, will cement his place as a leading light; locally, nationally and globally. Through his successful endeavours, his legacy is already assured…
    Enjoy Friends x

I got a mixtape back around '97 or '98, "Minimalistek" by Gary Manichiello, that was a lot like this mix (though a lot darker), and I thought that is what "minimal techno" sounds like all these years. But every time I find "minimal techno" mixes, they're never anything like this. Only recently did I learn that people call this style "hard groove". Glad I finally found it again, because this is the perfect form of techno. I love it.

This is hardgroove. Dub techno is slower, less percussion and all about evolving delayed stabs. You are on RUclips, try typing Dub Techno, this mix wont come up! As a side point, maybe dont tell people to educate themselves until you know the difference between 'no' and 'know'. 😉Love your user name!

This isn't dub techno. Dub Techno is between 100-120 BPM. Hardgroove is between 135 and 145 BPM. Typically made with a latin style elements and high cymbals and a smooth baseline.
