Ime Udoka talks after the Houston Rockets disappointing loss to the Utah Jazz on 4/11/2024. Fred VanVleet scored 42 points but ran out of gas late. Jalen Green and Jabari Smith did not play much in the fourth quarter. The Rockets struggled on defense and rebounding all night.
I like how the coach is bluntly honest and truthfully. Hold players accountable for having a losing mentality. Winning teams are honest

I see posts commenting on Jalen and Jabari not trying. I can believe it about Jalen but I think Jabari just couldn't hang under the boards against the Jazz. He is just too light. I can see Jeff Green maybe slacking off. It's the end of a long season and he is a 36 year old big. Rockets should give Sengun an extension in the off season but should look to continue trying to trade Jalen for Makil Bridges. Jalen has no leadership skills. There just might be a sucker out there that wants him. I've been watching him for 3 years and I'm sick of it.
Facts bro...I don't know but maybe they can try Jabari as a wing next season if he doesn't work on his body u are right he is so skinny, and Jalen, i always say that the best position for him is 6th man and run the second unit , he has skills but basketball knowledge and iq are most zero I wish he had college basketball experience..And aftet easy games and wins some fanbase gave up Şengün and they were talking about trade scenarios but this team needs Sengun if they want playoffs next season..

@@iceberg-3541 I think Jabari will be fine at power forward against most teams. He might want to play wing though. I was disappointed he didn't seem to get stronger last off season.
@@garybankston9319 he needs to get more stronger for power Forward position but I think he doesn't wanna build more muscle on his body because he doesn't wanna lose his shooting rhythm that's why I said he wants to be wing more than power Forward
@@iceberg-3541 I did isometrics to build strength when I was a basketball player. I got stronger without losing my shooting ability or getting overly bulky like Dillon Brooks did. I think a lot of people envisioned Jabari beefing up like Giannis. That was wishful thinking.
In Ime I Trust
Rockets better keep guys like Fred and Uncle Jeff and allow coach to get the players he wants instead of guys that don't want to play like he said for next season.
Rockets should Not extend Jalen or Jabarri and consider making trades while they have some value still.

Udoka got too much pride n that’s gonna hurt us in the long run.. FVV can’t take 30 shots like ever. He’s not the SG he’s a PG .. but he has the longest leash on the team.. he refuses to bench him ever n Dillon too… but I’m glad Jalen didn’t wanna play cuz I wouldn’t either if I’m constantly getting benched for any lil mistake. After he jus proved to the whole world he can be the man for a whole damn month but that’s not good enough for the big ego filled maniac as the coach.

I agree with 100% this coach only want a Fred even if he had bad games he will not bench him what a coach hope jalen find a coach who would trust him that much and unleashed his scoring game on other coach if jalen gets going in a game he will put the ball on Fred and jalen will not touch the ball anymore coz Fred thinks he is the future of this team that is why ime want bridges in this team and let go of jalen what a coach when jalen leaves this team they will not make a playoff in the near future ime sucks

Team play requires discipline. There is a strategy in the game, and players must play accordingly. There is no team according to the player, there is a player according to the team. If you say, “Coach, I don't play like this,” you sit on the bench, even if you are a superstar. This is what it should be.
Are yall all bots pretending to be upset with Ime to scapegoat Jalen from being responsible for his inconsistent af play since his breakout streak of playing well in March. There’s no way someone being honest about what’s going on says Ime is a problem or more of a problem than Jalen rn. I don’t think he forces FVV to take shots I think FVV is the only one confident he can make shots consistently so he consistently takes them make or miss. Moving fwd if we keep both, FVV will see less and less attempts but as of right now it’s been a bit of the game called follow the leader and currently guys like FVV and brooks are the leaders. When Sengun is back and Jalen, Amen and Bari develop it will be their time but right now clearly not.. like clearly.. no debating.
