Loved the last POV video you posted with the Miata. Was thinking about buying one and watched your video and instantly fell in love. 5 months and 7k miles later with my white ‘94 so happy to see another video with the Miata.
1:55 that laugh of pure joy😂, I've been a car guy most of my life and I'm getting so close to finally being able to experience driving properly, I can't wait for that feeling
I had to wait 22 years to finally be in a position to buy my Civic Si. Definitely a much better experience than the boring cars I was used to being around growing up. The peppy motor, sporty suspension, LSD and manual transmission are all so fun!
I was never particularly interested in the MX-5 until my mother needed a new car and had always wanted an MX-5.... and I spent weeks informing myself about the four generations, before we looked at the first pre-facelift NB.... and funnily enough, it was the right one and her 60th birthday present from me. I also fell in love with the car and now want my own NB, a 2001 - 2005 NB-FL to be exact. The NB's are extremely susceptible to rust, but are otherwise as reliable as a Swiss clockwork.
"English doesnt have grammatical gender" Wow, SHE sounds and looks healthy! I'm sure SHE drives great! I hit the road with a NB Miata over 4 years. It was a 4 season car so there are probably and cons. At least it was well balanced 50:50 and if u don’t be afraid keep the rpm over 5000-7000 and the fun begins on landscape experience. The girls liked it at least until have to learn to drive through corners with this rear wheel driving vehicle and short shift gearbox. Some upgrades are nessesary like lowering and head and dome bars to achieve more stiffness.
its nice to know im not the only one with 4th gear rattle, ive read all the forums no1 know what the noise comes from or how to get rid of it, even mazda specialists dont know
I’ve had my ‘99 Miata for three years and have yet to drive on any road I would consider fun. I live in the Florida Keys, which are a crap place to drive, unless you just want to cruise or be stuck behind someone. Btw, I wish my Nardi badge were half as blue as yours still is. This Florida sun is not good!
Dude how tall are you, I always wanted a Miata, but I'm 6'3 so I'm really concerned about buying an old one and not being able to comfortably drive for an hour or two. Also this POV is amazing. Absolutely love that top down experience
Fitting into a Miata comfortably has more to do with personal girth than height. I’m 6’6” tall and drive my ‘99 daily, but I’m also thin as a rail. That said, my knees are in the dash, and my head grazes with the top up. But to be honest, it feels bigger than when I first sat in it, so you grow accustomed. My suggestion is to go find one to drive, then decide.
is that transmission scraping noise bad? mine makes similar noise it might be louder than yours, I can kinda hear it on acceleration sometimes and is louder on decel, bit of a whine sometimes to.
Oh lol u have the same weird problem as me with the airbag light that turns off when you clutch/shift and turns on when accelerating strongly 😂 Do you know why it is like that? it’s hella weird

Outside of coolant hoses and O2 sensors, rust is probably the miata’s number one enemy.

I was waiting for this video. Thank you very much. From Japan
I got a few more Miata vids like this in the works. Cheers from America 🇺🇸
Man i wish i had some roads like this near me
This isn’t super close to where I live, but I’m glad it’s not crazy far out.
@@bendagaWait, where is this?
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, and would love to make that drive

I just love the interior of the nb
I wouldn’t have ever imagined that one of my favorite car RUclipsr had made a video on my second favorite car ever.
I live in bellingham I'm about to get a miata, crazy to stumble upon this video after fantasizing about driving my new miat on Chuck haha
glad to see you are ok .it's been a while
Hey Alfred! Great to hear from you. I’m all good, just took a little social media break this summer. I’ll be posting regularly again.
This vid made me love my miata even moar!
The mushroom sound put a smile on my face ❤
getting my 2003 NB in 1 month, im hyped af!!!
how did it go ??
That’s my car. Same Color. Slightly moded. Runs on its 2nd motor. Love it. NSX, P. Spyder and MX5s are probably the best drivers cars.

Perfect car for having fun
What’s your dashboard? It’s so interesting i want one for a miata if ever
You mean the upside down gauges? I'm still confused on why you would want that
I’ve had my ‘99 Miata for three years and have yet to drive on any road I would consider fun. I live in the Florida Keys, which are a crap place to drive, unless you just want to cruise or be stuck behind someone. Btw, I wish my Nardi badge were half as blue as yours still is. That looked like so much fun. My friend has a silver one.
What’s up with the gauges? Not hating, genuinely curios!
revlimiter Flyin Miata guages!
Gage clusters had me thinking 🤔
yes me too - they seem strange, i think they are inverted
The gauges boggles my mind a little bit. Any reason behind this configuration? too tall to see the top?
its a custom gauge set to mimic the stuff from the old British touring cars. The GoPro was head mounted so a little taller in the footage
🔥🔥🔥🔥

What roads are these? I live in Washington too! :)
Just a cold air intake huh? All stock or wat sounds sweet bro
How hard is to turn around your dashboard tachometers?
Which intake does your miata have?
My 2000 as Tan seats. But I have to ask? What is up the the tack and the speed o. Why are they upside down?
Those are some of the interior mods he spoke of, the tach and speedo are aftermarket.
What the hell are those reversed gauges? Are those aftermarket?
how tall are u man i want a miata but its small car so idk (im 5'10 or 180cm)
Makes me wanna build my uncle's 2002 Avensis,i heard it can take some hp
Nice video
Is it 1.6 or 1.8 ?
is that transmission scraping noise bad? mine makes similar noise it might be louder than yours, I can kinda hear it on acceleration sometimes and is louder on decel, bit of a whine sometimes to.
whered you get the instrument cluster
Which intake u using?
what brand are those tires and what size are they
Oh lol u have the same weird problem as me with the airbag light that turns off when you clutch/shift and turns on when accelerating strongly 😂

Stock exhaust ? Seems pretty loud for standard
I believe so. Maybe what you're hearing is either the external mic or the intake.
Definitely intake sound mines stock and sounds exactly the same
Beautiful video, scenery, and car! Do you just use a standard GoPro for recording, or do you use other supplemental audio equipment?
Thanks! I am running both the GoPro and an external audio setup.

Nice, i really enjoyed watching this :) Can you please share your setup, how you filmed this?
Thanks! Maybe I can make a video on my setup? It’s a bit complicated to explain in a yt comment..
