58 seconds from maxing thrust to liftoff, and over a minute when you count spool-up. Hot and high airport, long flight, only to mention it’s an A340 series.
No. The A340 series needs more runway than almost any other aircraft model, it’s departing a hot and high airport with a long runway, and this is a very heavy and long flight.
Don't let this fool you. The A340-600 is powerful with those four massive Trent 500(s). This is not the underpowered A340-300. The reason they usually take long to take off like this is because the A340-600 is always on a long haul flight, so it's crazy packed with fuel. In this vid, it's both heavy and in hot climate with thinner air. Resulting in this long take off.
It’s a beautiful clip. But the A-340 needs JATO!! I think the reason is that twin-jets need to be able to continue on one engine if there’s a failure, so the engines are necessarily overpowered. A tri/quad-jet still has two or three remaining engines if there’s a failure past V-1, so each engine is not required to haul the whole load.
It is not an A 340-600, nor an A 340-500. This is an A 340-300 with the smallest engines. And yes, it suffers to take off, even at normal altitudes (near sea level). For the A 340-300, reaching the cruising altitude of these large commercial aircraft is more laborious than the A 340-500/600 or other B777.
The A340-600 is such an amazing aircraft! ✈️ Who doesn't love a quad jet?
How much kms runway was that ? 3 or 3.5
@@raajmata 3.3 to be exact!
@@PlanesWeekly ohh. Thanks.. The Pilot should have said that I have paid the money, I will use the whole Runway 😂😂😂😂😂
Love quad-jets! In my lifetime I've flown on the DC-8, B-747 and A-380, and next week I'm flying in one of these from Mexico City to Madrid 😎
1:11 attention au décollage 🚀
Bon par contre 1 min c beaucoup il est impressionnant cette avion vive les quadrimoteur 😱😍
Woooow ! That was a LONG roll.... just have been really heavy that night!
MAD is also at almost 2000 feet AMSL
Classic hot and high airfield. Not the most of either but usually long takeoffs.
Damn right near the end of the runway. Must be really heavy.
Hola
Great Video
Love the Trent 500 powered A340 600
Fantastic Trent 556 sound!
Awesome!!! I took the a340-600 once with QR, and it was something special for me !!
OMG a 1 Minute Takeoff
58 seconds from maxing thrust to liftoff, and over a minute when you count spool-up. Hot and high airport, long flight, only to mention it’s an A340 series.
Looking very very nice....
Awesome!...takes me back to the golden age of the Boeing 707 🤘
That was spectacular
Que som confortante 😍😍😍😍
Sensational Footage mate and what a very long takeoff! Liked
Every night flight is just awesome who agree
This might be the longest takeoff on all of RUclips. It’s as if they were gonna drive the thing all the way to Peru
Rotated right before the piano keys on the other end. It truly lived up to the A340's reputation of using the Earth's curvature to get off the ground.
hevy plane
Takeoff 1:20
V1
Rotate 2:16
Engines spool-up before it starts moving. Budges 1:18. Sets thrust 1:22, lifts off 2:20. Total of 62 seconds rolling down that runway.
Wow, those monsters sure spooled up quick!
Yeah seriously. Looks like a static spool-up starting before brakes release. Had to get that portly beast off somehow.
Very nice video
Its a very long.... takeoff
1 min of takeoff it amazing 0o0
One complete minute of take off roll. Is that normal ?
No. The A340 series needs more runway than almost any other aircraft model, it’s departing a hot and high airport with a long runway, and this is a very heavy and long flight.
Lovely spool up!
Yes, from a 340 it's reminiscent of the 707's.

I thought 4 minutes on the runway xD
What's the date of the flight?
This was recorded July 28th 2019
Then I guess EC-IZX was the aircraft's registration number :)
there is always a woman on board that talks louder than takeoff power
Non problem ,the way of take off is more long, about 4km.
Wow!! Since when did the A340 have four engines??
Duh, since Airbus started building them.
@@dickb2128 Only the A380 has 4 engines.
Since 1991.
Rick Campbell bruh
@@rickcampbell6987 747,707,DC8,A380,A340 they all have 4 enjines
