Very good idea on the vice I definitely like the tongue hitch flipped upside down I'm actually getting ready to go to harbor freight and get one and do it to my homemade trailer 👍 Thanks for the really good idea!!
Never thought of a vice on a trailer, good idea. You should put a mount point in the box set up with hitch anti-theft device. Please make a video on how to set up and install the stakes. They look like a great addition to any utility trailer.
I love the idea with the vice. I use a vice to hold my chainsaw when I sharpen the chain when I am home now I can have one onsite. I added sides and a toolbox to my 12' × 6' already . I hope you and your family stay healthy Thanks again AL from upstate New York. 👍
Thank you for the video. There is always some magat that will steal what you have instead of working and buying their own. I am sueing a guy that stole my trailer 4 years ago. I finally found the trailer last month. I filed on them and waiting for court date. After i get my trailer back i am asking the DA to indict them. They must pay for what they did. I hate theives and liars.
Great video! Great ideas! I look forward to see any new mods you do next on a trailer. I used to be a General Contractor til about 2008. Now I'm mostly retired. I'm taking a landscape trailer to adapt it for multi-use. Move things back and forth to storage. And to haul my craft show tent and supplies to shows. I'd like to build the sides up fairly solid to about 4'. Tarp atop. Maybe adapt a rack to go in & out for kayaks. 😮 Looking to be multi-functional. Thanks!
The title should have been-----Necessary Upgrades To A Basic Utility Trailer for my needs.------- Not everyone needs these upgrades, but I do like the vice idea.
I really like the vice addition and the stakesides - off in under 3 minutes is fantastic! Why did you not mount the hitch receiver flush to the corner so the vice can be used even when the sides are on? If you’re interested I think the folks in this DIY group I run would be super interested in this- I invite you to come share it and post this awesome trailer build! For anyone trying to figure out what the corner hardware is called, it's a "corner security latch set." Took me a while....
Like your set up, looks like it's been a great investment and it keeps the contents from falling out, great job
Broooo, that vise tho… absolute game changer💪🏼💥

"This isn't a Space Shuttle....." Thanks for that!! I laughed out loud. Don't think I'll do the vice, but the stake bed idea is great!!
Robert Younghusband Thanks for the support!
I took it from another youtuber! He fixes lawn care equipment and always says they are not a space shuttle lol
I would like to see a in depth video on installation
Very good video and really like the vice set-up as well. I believe your company will do well because you have a good attitude and making good choices.
Good ideas 😎
Definitely would like to see gate assembly.
I know i would love a more in depth video on the stake bed sides, they seem really well done and that's a project i am considering!
pro tip : you can watch movies at KaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Russell Zakai yup, have been using kaldroStream for since november myself :D
Thx for the great video and ideas
nice job
What is the coupler height on this trailer? Thanks!!
Legit videos bro
We had trouble with the wood warping when only using one Carriage bolt we had to go back and put two more towards the top and bottom
Still holding up! We keep it indoors, however.

That vice was a great fabrication! Love the hitch idea!
Nate Webb Thank you!
Harbor freight. Been looking out for the average Joe since 1977
Add the links for the stuff you used.

I was mostly concerned about keeping the vice out of the way while we pressure washed. The closed wee were to the road...the more in the way it got!
wood shims for sides
Audio hint. Look for a product called a dead cat. It's not a joke. It's a real product for your microphone. Please dead cat your mike.
Robert Palmore Thanks for the tip!
wonder how many times he said I
nice job.....but ten minute video... at minute 4 finally starts talking about the trailer...
That was a whole bunch of talk for like 2 upgrades
