Horrible Walmart pedestal fan

Well, that is terrible right there. For Walmart not only are their portable fans terrible but their ceiling fans are the worst too I tried one for myself and it was pathetic.

My trusty Chinese fan named Pelonis moves more air than that thing. It is from 2006 and it is 18 years old. And I love it like Steve Perry's Sherrie!

really besides shaking the blade has a plastic like paper and the column after a few years it starts wanting to fall to the floor

I agree! I bought one of these for my aunt and she had to return it cause the screw for the base fell apart. I’d say this is the worst fan ever made.

Have 2 desk oscillating fans. Don't want to pay more for one on a stand. One is a lasko from 2000, the other a Mainstays from 2015 or 2016 I believe. Both work well, so no need to buy new junk. Although videos of new Mainstays desk fans don't show them to be horrible.

Wow Alex China Pride at it's best i bought to 7" Clip fans and both is awful out of balanced blades bad bearings air restriction so i got a refund for the fan.. plus on top of all that they wanted a crap load of money for it 39.99 plus tax and shipping.. that;s why we need fans made over here in the usa again..

Remember a friend having a couple standing oscilating fans. Both seemed to work well, except hardly any airflow compared to my desk fans in my opinion.

All Chinese products of this type have definitely seen a sharp decline in quality over the past 2 or 3 years. The funny part is they cost more! "You get what you pay for" doesn't mean anything anymore. I made the mistake of buying a $30 pair of slip-on sandals recently. I knew "Clark Company" was probably a Chinese product so I didn't expect great quality but I was shocked by what I received...6 weeks later. The stitching was terrible and when I tugged on a loose piece of thread it pulled out 3 stitches! I stopped pulling before it all came out. The upper part was made with such a cheaper plastic material, too. All I did was slip the sandals onto my feet and stand up. They immediately stretched out of shape. They are now absolutely unwearable.

What ever happened to the well made fans from the 50s all the way up to the mid 90s before all this plastic cheap crap came in to play. The 5 fans I have all came from the era of the early 80s and early 90s and they are great and got them all from eBay.

They really went downhill around 2006-07. I have an old 12” Hampton Bay from 2010 that ran constantly for 8 months at one point and it still works perfectly. Nothing new is capable of anything like that…

Me neither, but it was my parents who bought it to use at night so at least it’s not my problem. I’m hoping it has some catastrophic failure soon because the rattling noise is only getting worse, and now it can be heard from the furthest room down the hallway, where I sleep. Even on high, my Vornado 133 isn’t loud enough to mask the sound of that stupid thing rattling away all night

I completely agree! When my parents bought this thing it already rattled despite all the screws being fastened. Last summer they asked me to fix it, and all I said was “Hell no! The only way you’re fixing it would be by replacing it with something GOOD!”

And when I was at Walmart the other day I saw the Mainstays fans. And I opened the fan a d put it up to my bum and farted on it and said that's what I think of that brand. I do have a Mainstays black desk fan and when it's putting the air around it squeaks everytime it turns

⁠@@superfanb5742Im sorry your aunt died bro. I have a 20” Mainstays aka Mainstinks box fan. It was so loud and the grilles are super restrictive. I turned the fan to the highest speed and sat on the frame. After that I burped into the fan. That brand sucks ass
