- In this video I will explain how to find the equation of a polynomial function with the given zeros shown on a graph! This is a simple example where the polynomial function is a cubic function that has three x-intercepts.
The first step to find the polynomial equation is identifying the zeros. To do this we look for the points on the graph where the function passes through the x-axis. We place each of these intercepts in the factored form of a polynomial function.
Next, we substitute in a point that falls on the graph of the polynomial function and use it to solve for the value of a.
