- costaba posicionarse con tabla corta con tanta corriente y tanto volumen de agua en las olas así que pude tomar solo 3 olas pero conseguí la que quería desde el fondo

Hectic paddle out, a feat just getting out there. That's how I do my surfing these days when it's a bit larger, wait for the wide ones, at my age I haven't got the stamina to wear large sets on the head. Sometimes only get 4 or 5 waves but enjoy the hell out of every one of them. Well done Nicolas, I'm guessing getting back up the rocks was a battle too.

You are totally right. I was on a 6’2 because that’s the biggest board I had. All of the locals were riding mini guns and could paddle way easier. I should’ve rented one.

FYI you spent a lot of time sitting over a big hole. So the wave coming looks like it building up to break and then instead it rounds down again over the hole. Seeing it round down again is what tells you the increased depth. You paddled for a few of these but I knew you wouldn't catch it because the wave does down instead of up and over.

You must have been a charger sitting deep in the pit from day one as a surfer then eh? Maybe the dude is relatively new to surfing and working his way up to getting comfortable sitting further up the point. Regardless, still a very cool perspective of the spot. The paddle out footage alone was killer!
