Hey Seude, do you have any tips for fighting in the industrial/modern era on a single player game? For context, I'm playing India on a continents map with me and Persia being only the only 2 Civs on the smaller of the two land masses. Anyway, I'm trying for a cultural victory on Monarch difficulty and Persia declares war on me. We have roughly the same techs and resources and our war has basically become a standstill with the rest of the world ending up in a world war along with us. Any help would be appreciated Edit: I should note that we're in the industrial era and I have the tech to build build planes, but don't have the oil while Persia has oil, but hasn't built any planes as far as I know.
Artillery is key. Bombers are the best artillery, but if you don't have oil, go for ground-based. 50 artillery pieces + enough riflemen/infantry cover so you are certain they won't capture your cannons. And I mean literally 50 cannons. Or the best bombarding unit you can get your hands on. Then you come to one of their cities. Bombard 50 times. Go to city strangely deserted from enemy units. Go to another city. Repeat. preferably get oil and switch ground artillery to bombers.
Heyy, i got a question, I really enjoy only 2 first eras, the modern warfare bores me, is there any way i can bloxk everyone in single player from going beyond second era, or can I extend the first eras? Like more turns to discover for everyone?
You should do a series on the scenarios! They are so good
Agree
This series is awesome! You have to deal with so much bullshit it's good to see how it's done. I know how frustrating it is.
Looking forward to Maya getting marines!
Don't test me lol

Go into the scenario editor, and set the cost of theory of gravity and a few other techs to the maximum allowed.
So, what does planting watch towers everywhere do exactly?
blocks AI from landing
@@suedeciviii7142 okay, that's definitely good to know. I need to do that now, to save on building up so many units to block off islands
@@suedeciviii7142 can you also block off landings with other things like airfields/radars?
@@rosiemccattail6350 radar towers yes IIRC.
What does wet/arid maps mean. Does it mean more lakes and rivers or more/less jungles
I don't think it effects rivers/lakes, if it does the effect is pretty marginal.
RE:Fhf Fvglu. Wet and warm gives you jungles. Arid, I think, is deserts but I'm not sure how temperature affects that.
it's world war guys
Isn’t Britain already a desolate rock irl?
Perhaps. But it sure isn't a dry desolate rock.
Yes, but it's a wet desolate rock, not a dry one
Concessions. (53:30)
