Dear Sir, How do I retrieve the dimension of a flat pattern? I do some methods but can't
With the sheet metal part and flat pattern on screen create a new idw, select the flat pattern, as you can see in my drawing.
Then place manually the needed dimensions on the flat pattern.

Nu sunt specialst în scule așchietoare și ar trebui să cercetez destul de mult ca să obțin ceva cu adevărat corect. Cu freza melc (Gear Hob) m-a străduit să o finalizez într-n alt episod față de cel inițial.
Așadar, aș putea s-o fac cu oarecare străduință, dar am 75 de ani și mă gândesc la teme mai generale în locul unora de nișă.
Știu că, mai nou, voi studenții căutați pe net o soluție la lucrările voastre, o împachetați cum vă pricepeți și o livrați la profesori.
Învățătura adevărată este aunci când, ghidându-te după notițele de la curs, te duci la bibliotecă și cauți cărțile trebuincioase ca să ajungi la sursa temei tale și la formulele corecte de calcul. Ba nici nu trebuie să te duci la bibliotecă, fiindcă acum găsești acea sursă pe internet, cu siguranță!
Până ce nu pui osul la treabă nu poți să știi ceva cu adevărat, fiindcă memorarea nu funcționează la inginerie, ci numai procedurile bine stăpânite!

HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO CREATE ARCS AND RAYS WITHOUT LEAVING THE LINE COMMAND
I always explain this! Draw a line, then re-press the left button of the mouse after you finish the line (without move it!) and continue with an arc tangent (or PERPENDICULAR) to the line. Practice a while and gain a new ability!
Can we apply the flange command to a cylindrical part?
Not at the ends of the cylinder but only at the end generators of the ruled cylinder.
To be more explicit, if you roll a piece of paper to form a cylinder, you can apply flange at each of the two ends of the paper along the generator of the cylinder.
@@prof-stancescu Thanks Sir, I need to apply flange piece by piece to the top of the round paper, which is inward (90 degrees) along the edge of the paper, it should be like a fringe on the top. I guess this is not possible?

Sir, how to make the C view?
You use the Auxiliary tool and select the sloped face pointed by the C arrow. Create the new view somewhere left-up, then right click on it , select Alignment and Break. After this you can place the C view wherever you want.
