This is the best documentary on Chanel I have found so far. So much history! My first Chanel piece were earrings that were eventually stolen during a move. When I bought them as an InStyle magazine intern at 19 they were around $125.00 from the boutique in Saks Fifth Avenue here in NYC, but for me to replace them today I'd have spend thousands. They're costume! I love her idea on wearing costume jewelry instead of fine and I wish the current house didn't raise the prices ridiculously high. I can no longer afford to buy the things I once bought before but for the current prices I might as well buy real jewels.
this video is incredible. the facts are incredibly interesting and the visuals are stunning. wonderful job! such impressive work at such a young age. you are clearly very passionate and going places in the fashion industry. everyone who left negative comments was just doing so because they were not as well developed as teenagers as you are, nor are they mature as adults. keep up the excellent work, this film is incredibly impressive and super informative!
Maybe but she was also taken advantage of, she could not hold a bank account as at the time it was not permitted under french law, after her first investor “boy” kopple died her next man that “ helped” her wrote the contract took 90% and only left her 10%. This contact is still valid to today. It’s said she trusted him as boy had treated her so well she never had a lawyer look at the contact before she signed it. The bank account was critical to the running of the business as at the time she was employing hundreds of women
If Coco was of alive today, do you think she could've sued to at least own a much larger percentage of the company? I was surprised to learn she only owned 10% . To design all the clothes, jewelry, perfume she literally built it and she owned a mere 10%, sad.
Correction- Mrs. Kennedy’s suit on that terrible day in Nov 63’ was a line for line copy by Chez Ninon. Chanel reportedly provided the material, trim & buttons but Chanel didn’t make the suit. While JK had a penchant for French design houses, it was thought that she should wear American designers in order to appear more patriotic. Hence, the Chez Ninon copy of the suit from Chanel’s 61’ collection.
Disappointed to hear she was a natzi sympathizer. It's incredible that she continued to become an icon in fashion. She's one of my favorite rags to riches story.
CATS WOMEN. Millenary genius. LIBERTY LIBERTY LIBERTY LIBERTY and FREEDOM for WOMEN . WOMEN EMPOWERMENT. TIMELESS DESIGNS. TROUSERS after World War II. FORD ACADEMY recognizing CHANEL . 3 billion dollar industry . MODERNIZING TIMELESS DESIGNS.
This video has good visuals but the narration is very bad and amateurish and needed a more professional narrator. Also, the script does not do justice to Chanel #5. There are synthetics that cost over a thousand dollars per pound. There are synthetic, molecular compounds used in fine perfume making.
Darrian Anderson Not all of it. Jackie Kennedy’s suit on Nov. 22, 1963 wasn’t Chanel. It was by an American designer to whom the house of Chanel provided the fabric & buttons as it was thought that JK should wear an American designer for this trip although she favored French designers.
If this video had been narrated with a sophisticated voice instead of high school girls, it would be excellent! (If I hadn’t wanted to hear the history of Coco Chanel, I would’ve watched it muted!) It’s too bad that something this good could be ruined by the wrong voice narrating it... 😕

Short & punchy video with lots of pics I've never seen before! Excellent 🙏
The title of the music used for this video???
Anyway GREAT!!! Thanks so much!!❤️❤️
Wonderful job!
Don't listen to the negative comments, continue to do what you want to do.
Her nick name came fron the song she used to sing at the cabaret: “Qui qu’a vu Coco?”.
This is a history day project not professional documentary. The speaker is literally 13
Emma F yes Emma go off on them haters
Then you need to know she was a Nazi
Not mentioning that is wreckless 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The speaker was excellent. The editing and pictures were great and it was very informative.
This was done quite well for a 13 year old! You may have a career plan already young lady!!
@@src3360 do you think you may have purchased anything recently created by actual Nazis themselves? If so I hope you return it.
great job on getting 97 subs :)
I am of French roots I love the use of le vie en rose
She got lucky with rich men, who wouldn’t at that point.

She was a NAZI collaborator

😄
The other correction is the date listed in the video is Nov 2nd when it should be Nov 22nd. Still, I thought she did a great job on the video
Coco Chanel it was 👿👿😈👹👹😈👿
I learn so many things!!!! thanks♡
One very positive thing about the nuns, is they teach needlework and knitting. They taught me and knitting has been a relaxer for me all my life.
merci

The narration needs changing, or subtitles.

A little disapointing...she was just a kept woman...like so many others...but still,she Got another legacy...our luck...
No...no. Try again.
Coco does not come at all from Coquette... wrong information, check your sources !
I loved this, but the person talking sounds 13.
She was 13…it was a school project
Her parents got married after she was born so it is a bit unfair to say she was born to unwed parents
It’s pronounced Chanel not Chanel .
COCO CHANEL WAS INSPIRED AND INFLUENCED BY THE CAN-CAN DANCE TO CREATE, WHICH I TALK ABOUT IN A VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL
Coco Chanel, sufletul tău blestemat, să fie veșnic mistuit de flăcările iadului!Fii blestemată Coco Chanel, în vecii vecilor!
Ești cretina ??🤣
Coco Chanel a parody of"woman"!
Coco Chanel, l'amie de Walter Schellenberg...
Singular 'woman' (pronounced wUman) or plural women (pronounced wImEn) ???
There IS a difference in meaning with the pronunciation, you know.
good facts gathering but the voice of speaker and the way she voices presentation is boring and kindergardenish
Elle est vraiment odieuse cette femme !!!!
CoCoNAVIRUS Chanel!
The narrator’s voice is so bad. Can’t listen to it.
Such silly remarks. So she did not like homosexuals; so what? Does everyone have to?
This is all true

That voice... ewwww zero depth
Sorry, the voice commentary is very bad. Terrible, high pitched, American accent.
Karen Sinclair this comment is very bad. Ignorant, stuck up, and from some old lady still on RUclips.
