I’m gonna retract this statement just a tad. After some review I remembered that some puzzles let you use multiple lines that connect to create a single line. And although it’s an entirely different mechanic, it isn’t at all immediately obvious.
@@reversev9778 connecting multiple lines together was the only reason that spamming lines all over the board worked so many times, that "can't cross the line" was never really in my model of how the game worked. IMO, crossing the line is only a problem in symbol order and multiple start/endpoints being hit in my opinion

i think the hedgemaze puzzle was based on hitting the shapes with the least sides to the most, like in 49:10 it goes moon with 2 sides, arrow with 3 sides, tulip with 5 sides, hourglass with 6 sides, detailed arrow with 7 sides and witness piece with 9 sides
I think that theory works! I will say that arrow seems to have 4 sides, and I think it's kind of questionable to call any curves a side though (the moon could be 0).
@@IcelyPuzzles yeah the arrow has 4 sides, but it's still between the other shapes (2 and 5), and the curved sides do count, as in previous puzzles it went circle to moon, which would be 0 to 0 if not for counting the curved sides
8:35 No, the original S+E puzzle you're pointing at was only "way later" because you did it later, because you forced your way into the castle area first by spamming on the stopsign panel. The intended flow is to only do the stopsign panel after the S+E panel after the outside the box panel. Nothing can functionally prevent going in the wrong order, but the knowledge dependency graph is not unfair.
yeah, it is only because I did it later, but also I spend a lot of time in the castle area first which basically shows you the S/E and uses it in many puzzles. I still think it was a failure that I ended up opening the door first because there's no way I click the sign and then think "oh, I don't know what this puzzle mechanic is", I think "oh I found the secret, now I should be able to open it". and also the wire troll where it goes under the grass and pops up in a different area so I failed to follow the mainline
@@IcelyPuzzles as for the puzzle with the wire across the 2 signs, you did not need to fill it, there was a “start” and “end” on the backs of the signs, but you somehow glitched it to work anyway
@@chri-k i legitimately thought the whole wire troll was like "when you light a wire, it becomes filled with red, so this joke is that you just draw all over the wire until it looks like it's filled with red" tbh
@@IcelyPuzzles i guess this game is frustrating and unclear like that, and i guess the witness is also very unclear and sometimes frustrating but also actually good, so this makes sense for a parody. I can't tell if you just weren't in the mood for this game or what, but the way you approached most puzzles was difficult to watch and incredibly unenjoyable. The amount of random scribbling that you did here was honestly jarring because you gave up mentally on so many puzzles so quickly. I've also noticed that you don't exactly take your time much in any puzzle game you play. I could be totally off base with this, but I imagine because you record and post these you feel a pressure to solve it as quickly as possible rather than in your own time. I get this is a 'troll' game, but maybe just slow down every now and then and ask yourself why a solution isn't working instead of repeatedly shutting down mentally to where you just try the same things over and over. Blaming the puzzle itself for failing to realize that you had to collect the symbols in a specific order is hilarious to me. For all the rule discovery games you play, you just simply didn't understand the rule and didn't experiment enough to come to the conclusion. You didn't once try collecting all 3 symbols in any configuration except bottom right to top left, so no you didn't try everything; though I know how you mean when you say you felt as though you did.
wow beep puzzle, blood, "windmill" and the cable one all so painfull to see, and so many excuses and gameblaming. sure the game fault you do 10 times the same line in the beep puzzle and dont understand its distance but "nonesense". too much pain for me.

It hurts just a tad that you learned you couldn’t cross the line over itself so many times but would immediately forget it for another puzzle.
