i love it, i just wish it was a stereo cab :( if a company could make a side by side 2x12 frfr with stereo capability that doesnt cost above 1000$ it would be just perfect for so many of us.

These sound best using the built in cab emulations, particularly the 1x12. Not sure why, but the difference between them and using a cab block or IR in your modeler is night and day.
@@PaulGlover if you had choice of two 112 head rush speakers or one of these cabs in a shoot out for sound which would you shoot your cash at? Getting closer to purchase and getting nervous as to which to go for lol
Depends on your needs and the size? This 2x12 is a lump of tone lol the 1x12 is smaller and easier to travel with? 🧟♂️ the 2x12 however is just badass lol
Yeah, I should probably stick with the 112. It's loud enough, from what I've been told, and it has a DI port as well for gigging. But that 212, though... I just want it! Thanks for the reply :)
Was just on my rig dude and I was buzzing off that drive pedal and the stomp. But this speaker sounds amazing with all modelling amps and pedals. It's a winner. 🤘🧟♂️🤘
I dont see why not dude, it is frfr? There is a cab emulation on there so that might not sound do great? But theoretically its just a PA speaker. 🤟🧟♂️🤟
Itll push more air dude and appear louder. It also looks more like your standard cab i suppose. It practice though they will work the same. So id say if you just want a cab and size is an issue go 1x12. If you want that stage look and maybe want to push more air go 2x12. 🤟🧟♂️🤟
@@PaulGlover Paul, when running this from a modeler like helix etc, do you have to crank the volume on either the modeler or the laney, in order to get that tube amp thump , headroom and feel? Asking because I know that's an issue with big tube amps like the 100 watt units running through a 4x12 cab if you want to play quietly at home without sacrificing tone. I am interested in this set because of the portability and if I can play quietly without tone sacrifice.
@@allboutthemojo one of the beauties of this rig is you get all that thump at low volumes. The Master volume in the patch will emulate the overall power whilst the channel volume, output level and volume on the cab will justmmake it louder. 🤘🧟♂️🤘

Paul Glover Hi Paul, I think the demo is pointless because without a controlled environment the demo of an FRFR speaker in a noisy room through a microphone that condensed the sound is a demo that requires us to rely 100% on what you're telling us. All I can tell from the demo is that the speaker plays sound and that you are happy with the result. I have no reference point from which to judge the quality or authenticity of the tones you're dialling in and no idea what your EQ setup is. Perhaps, yes I was a knob head in my facetious warning, let other viewers take whatever they can from your demo, each to their own., RUclips is after all full of gear reviews that expect the viewer to take what is said for granted. I appreciate that the demo is well intended and may certainly help some people make more confident decisions. Regards, Wayne
