  • First ride on my Kawasaki ER-5 from 98'. I've been doing some maintenance before riding it, like oil change, coolant, sparkplugs, filters, cleaned brakes, new blinkers and much more as you can see in my playlist: Kawasaki ER-5 Project
    This has been my first riding since I got my drivers license for motorcycle and I enjoyed it SO MUCH!!
    Thank you so much for everyone who have been stepping by and watching my videos!! It really means a lot!

    The buggin' out was just because choke was slowly going off while it wasn't ready yet.

    I've been following your project, since I have the same bike. Also done spark plugs, carb cleaning, oil change and oil filter change. Coming up is a change on the temperature sensor and coolant replacement. Thank you so much for sharing your videos!

    Back when I was doing my bike test we were taught hand signals as there were no indicators on bikes then, that is in the UK. Don't know where you are Holland maybe so don't know if they teach them there? Always a handy thing to know as you have found out indicators can fail. Looked a cold miserable day to have your first ride on the Kwaker much nicer on a warm sunny day! Just wish we could get some !!!

      Thanks for the comment!! Yea here in Denmark we are not taught hand signals. But the indicators did work, the only thing I was missing was the resistor to make them flash slower. Yeah the weather was okay, just a tad wet.

    Its an amazing sound , aswell as agility as i can see, how would you recommend it for 2 people to ride on it?
    Does it have enough power?

    • @MLWAM
      @MLWAM  3 года назад +2

      I would only recommend it for 2 people if you drive in the city or under 100km/h or 60mph. I dont think it is made for 2 big people, it lack the power. But its a cheap bike in parts and easy to buy. Im uploading a video soon with the carb rebuild.

      @@MLWAM First of all sir , thank you for the answer.
      I was thinking about buying er5, to drive around europe in the upcoming season ( greece , portugal, italy...) , but i'm sceptic about the power that kawa has to offer , having another passanger (girl) on it, feels like it would make it suffer allot on the straights, and uphill aswell...
      Once again thanks for the answer, looking forward to the new video.

      @@TheWewerak Yeah the 2 cylinders just isnt enough torque for 2 people, maybe look for a GPZ og GPX model 600 or more.

    I've two er5s and both were a nightmare with leaking carbs and fuel taps. Both sold on at a ££ loss as "projects".
    Grr gutted. Otherwise really good economical bikes.

      i solved fuel tap problems and fuel in engine oil for 4 euro. simple manual fuel valve instead of factory one.yes you can buy repair kit for factory fuel tap,but this is cheap and forever. open it,drive, close it and no fuel leaking in engine oil. or,if you need sophisticated system, just use electrovalve from car lpg system. its open when you turn the key,and closed when you stop the engine.

      I have an ER-5 from 04 and I have removed that carb probably 7 times in the last three months. Drives me insane.
