And I side note. I follow no religion. Just god. I like to go to remote areas and pray. Be among the animals and nature. And feel the sun on my skin. Connect with what God created and not man made. Gives a lot of clarity. Religion is another man made thing to cause divide and separation of man(like there isn’t enough to separate us, like race, gender, sexuality and so on). Man destroyed this planet to advance man only. Is sickening to be a passenger on this planet I am tired of riding in a car with someone seeing all the death we create and no one cares. I watched a dear rot on the side of the road for months. Looking back I wish I was a better person and gave that deer a proper burial. But I was weak then. With each passing day. Yes we started using animals as food at some point in the past but that was out of necessity not opportunism, the word Omnivore should never go together with Humans!. The Militant Vegan has recently said we are ‘’Opportunistic Omnivores’’ as well, we need to nip this misinformation in the bud! ✊🏽🌻🌎

Most animals are opportunistic omnivores. Both obligatory carnivores and obligatory herbivores are a rarety in nature. Sheep are opportunistic omnivores. Cows are opportunistic omnivores. Giraffes are opportunistic omnivores. None of these animals will refuse to occasionally snack on a snake or a bird chick if opportunity arises. They just don't deliberately seek those out.
So are we. We are omnivores. We are more than capable of eating both animal and plant based foods.

We and our ancestors have been hypercarnivores for about 2.4 million years. A hypercarnivore consumes around 70-80% animal-based food. We needed fat and meat to develop our large brains. In fact, our entire physiology is adapted to consuming meat and fat. We have a highly acidic stomach, more acidic than most carnivores. This is because we evolved to live off a kill for weeks. Our small intestines are very long, ideal for absorbing all the nutrients from meat and fat. We have a large gallbladder, perfect for digesting large amounts of animal fat. If you don't use it enough, the bile crystallizes and you get gallstones. We do not have a fermenting gut; our appendix is what remains of that. We have a short colon, just for collecting waste. We possess unique skills for hunting and cooperation. Meat has been considered the most ideal food in all societies throughout history. Only among the city dwellers in the West, who are estranged from nature, is veganism a thing.
Try to find any "wild" vegetables; they are a recent invention. Look up natural fruit. In nature, it's only available for a few weeks each year. Wild fruit looks nothing like the fruit you consume today. Modern fruit is essentially a sugary bomb

Personally, despite being vegan for over a year while ago, I didn't really do it for animal rights reasons, it was more for environmental and me liking vegan food, overall my opinion is the same. I think we should minimize the suffering of animals, but at the same time I don't really see anything wrong with eating animal products.
Overall, to me we should treat animals based on level of consciousness, I'm personally quite against killing animals like orca, or chimps for food. But I'm not fundamentally against people eating even animals like dogs, I think it's disqusting, but that because they are common pets, not because I have fundunental rationale against some people eating them.

Why would humans be responsible for the actions of animals? We are only responsible for what we do. Thats rights for animals to be protected from human harm.

@@GarudaLegends I have its a nonsense comment making a pathetic attempt to claim veganism is futile. Animal rights like human rights are a man made concept. And therefore can only be confined to human actions. Theres a reason why we don't arrest an animal if it commits what would be a crime if a human did it. eg we dont hold animals responsible for theft or tresspass.

According to your logic, there should be no chickens, cows, sheep, dogs, or cats "kept" at all. So, they would all die out with a lot of respect. How very ethical!

@@veganpowerlab I think that is exactly what I am saying. Take cows, for instance. I see cows every day. They are calm and relaxed. They are safe, and when they are sick, they are taken care of. They can go outside or stay inside. In the wild, every single one would die a horrible death. They would get sick and die, get torn apart alive by predators, or die of hunger or thirst. Does it come at a cost for the cows? Sure. Do they have a say in this? No. Do you know if they would rather live in the wild? No, you don't. Do I know if they would rather live in a barn? No, I don't. If we both don't know, why do you think you are right?

@@veganpowerlab I believe it is very beneficial for humans to eat meat, eggs, dairy, and fish. This has been our diet for millions of years. I think we utilize these resources, but do not "exploit" them. Yes, you could live without animal products, but there is substantial evidence suggesting that optimal health is achieved by consuming a lot of animal products and reducing the intake of plants. (All plants contain their own natural toxins).
