Nerd out over our Bibles. I love that! I also like the point you made that we should be reading our Bibles today because we aren't promised tomorrow. I hope you are well.
I wanted to be a Nun before age 10 because their lives of choice... yet my family was not Catholic, well pegans, to be frank. I grew up jealous as I wanted to study God's word in HIS HOLY BIBLE as my daily life. My friend invited me to her church and that day I became a Christian in 8th grade. It was the happiest opportunity and best day of my life. Here is another happy day that I can go to seminary school in my early 40's along with husband and 3 kiddos. Your amazing Faith, thank you for sharing your experience!
My daughter is a "bible nerd" and wants to go to seminary. She"s older, but I encourage her because she s so passionate about bible study. She has enlightened me a lot. Thank you for your exuberance! It's infectious.
Faith, your use of 'Bible 'Nerd' reminds me of something I once read: When we are hungry we feed our bodies and we are satisfied. When we are thirsty we give ourselves drink and we are satisfied. But when we read God's Word we continue to hunger for it. We are filled and yet hungry more and more. I have experienced this and know that it is real. And I see it in you. God bless.
I am a total "Bible nerd"! I can spend six hours a day just sitting in my home office and study God's Word in an inductive study with my Unger's dictionary. Thank you for the encouragement and "normalizing" being a nerd 🤓 ❤️
I'm loving being a BIBLE NERD and finding other Bible nerds has really been encouraging I'm 65 years old and just now got my second laptop (the first one I had I crashed and burned it somehow) so I didn't get another one , my daughter and grandkids are hooking me up on it 🥰 and teaching me what to do and not to do . So I am loaded and ready to go . But I still have all my books for reference . My kids say I can look it up on computer, and that's great. I still like my dang books 📚 🙄
I've watched your channel for a few months now. Over the course of the summer i bought a Study Bible, a Bible Dictionary, a Concordance and a Bible promise book.
I'm going back to school at 39 years old!!! I'm so excited about it! I'm getting a bachelor's in Theology and then hoping to go on to Seminary!! I know this is a desire from God because I see the path he has had me on and I am right where he wants me to be!!
I wanted to share I’ve been fasting for direction and in this video I finally received confirmation of where the Lord is calling me! So grateful for you and your channel! Proud of you momma!
Hi Faith!! Just had to drop you a comment. Been following you for years and years! And I love your content! I have the same Bible as you, the Interleaved and love it, all the space that it has. And I have been really impressed how you went through seminary with to toddlers and a family and all. You are an inspiration! I an 45 years old, live in Finland and am retired because of some health issues. Been for 10 years. It´s been a struggle for years but lately I´ve had the feeling that somethings missing. That I want to do something. My Bible studies at home just is not enough for me anymore. Been doing it for 5 years now. So partly inspired by you, I just today signed for studies in the Helsinki Open University for studies for Theology and Religion Studies :) The studies start in 15th of January, just after my 46th birthday. I just can´t wait! I want to be a youth pastor. I used to work with kids. And I know I have a lot to give still. Just wanted to tell you this. Keep up the good work, I will be following you around the internet and waiting for your new videos. Love, Kirsi
As someone currently enrolled in seminary, I could relate to much of what you said. One is that I also have a hard time “turning it off.” After my summer class ended in mid-July, it took me two weeks to mentally calm down and relax. I was so used to constantly “producing” that I couldn’t just unwind and slow down. I continued to feel this pressure to work on something. Second, I also have developed a respect and fondness for good old Bible dictionaries and encyclopedias. They have a wealth of information, and have become the first resource I consult in most situations :)
I've become a Bible Nerd since I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I love reading and studying my Bible more than ever now. Thank you Sis! Now I want a Bible Nerd t-shirt!😃
I love your passion and heart to learn and share with others. Thank you for blessing all of us. You are a massive part of our family, even though we do not know each other personally. Thank you!!
Faith you are cuter than a button, and your enthusiasm is...STARTLING! I can't keep up with your bubbly type A temperament! I'm happy that seminary was a success for you. I've heard some men in the church call it "cemetery" because they said it undermined their faith, almost destroying it. You obviously had a very different experience, which is great. Do you ever get burned out by spending so much time in the Word? I have a bad habit of focusing on my passions until I get burned out on them. I have to pace myself.
I found you a few weeks ago and have been watching many of them. This one has really hit a spot in my heart. I don't want to just read the Bible to read it. I want to study. I want to learn. I want to grow. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. Looking forward to more teaching from you! 🙏
I tend to hyper-fixate on an idea or thing until it no longer interests me; and sometimes decisions are hyper fixated on too.. Been thinking of either pursuing another degree in Theology or just going straight to seminary, and you helped my brain to slow down on the thought process vs and take immediate action RIGHT NOW (which is part of the hyper-fixation). So, I'll take the baby steps whilst I wait on the LORD to guide my steps. I'll read the theological books my hubby reads, for his Theology degree, and I'll do the free lectures, etc, until the right time, as the LORD directs me. Thank you, once again for the encouragement, dear Faith. I really needed to hear this.
I could see, you were truly blessed when you went to seminary being a married woman with kids your message was transforming for me because you were simply just you. Thank you for being yourself. I hope your truly blessed in your sanctification what the Lord can do in your life may God bless you.
I wanted to go to Bible school years ago. Now that I’m praying more and reading Gods word more my desire changed from medical school back to Bible school then I think what can I do with Bible school I can’t teach men but women ect. But on the other hand I don’t want the cost or go into debt 😢
I've been thinking about bible college/seminary for a while now as I just love studying and reading the bible!! Thanks to you and your tips and recommendations!! 🥰 Definitely going to take this as a sign to look into it properly! Xxxx
Thank you for being the influencer I needed in my life. To much Tiktok was slowly killing me. This is really making me more amped about me time with the Word
I love the pictures of you graduating!! I'm also glad you took some time to rest after that long and important two year marathon of seminary!! I've been amazed by all you accomplish everyday since I first started watching your videos. I wanted to tell you that I added some pages to my Bible today! It was scary! I was so scared I would mess up my Bible that I have so many notes in, but I followed your instructions and it went good. I bought some book repair tape on Amazon, I didn't want to use scotch tape, it doesn't age very well. Thank you so much for teaching me that was even possible and how to do it!!! God bless you!
Hello, I am a new subscriber, I can relate to everything you mentioned here. I am 2 classes away from graduating from seminary and I too will sleep more after😂. Bible dictionaries are a wealth of information that I had never used before and now love. On memorizing, I follow Biblememorygoal and through him I was encouraged to memorize an entire book, I chose the book of James although it is a slow WIP for sure, partly because I have never done so much reading in my life as I am doing now for school. I find that everywhere I turn I can apply something from the book of James☺️. Wishing you much success in everything you do!
I love making these Old and New Testament connections as well. I think you are right that It made a difference that you went to seminary while you already had a family because you weren't preoccupied or worried with what that part of your life and how that was going to develop. I know someone who didn't have that part established and a few years after seminary their devotion, dedication a thirst for being daily in the Word looks nothing like what you are experiencing.
Glad to see u are learning Greek. I urge u to buy the NET Bible with full notes. Nothing will educate you more than reading WHY a translator made his decision on choosing a word or phrase for his translation. It is a great modern help! You say Bible study is now your "work." Is that because of RUclips? Can u earn enough on RUclips to pay rent on your office. Give thanks u live in the personal computer age. I cannot imagine how improved my seminary education would have been with a personal computer and Bible software! God bless!
Faith girl thank you! 1. I found an Interleaved Bible that solves all my study note-taking struggles! 2. You have so encouraged me to study! And 3. I am looking forward to more videos!
Thank you so much for empowering women! =D I love to see, that you are yearning to learn and know more :) I personally wish that there would be more women to do this and also (in my opinion) can be pastors of a congregation! I studied in Germany and now I'm a female pastor and to study theology was the best time of my life! :D whooop whooop , God bless you
I love your passion 😎. I graduated from Bible college back in 1983. Never considered seminary, but that would have been awesome. I’m gonna go check out language school. I’ve always wanted to learn Koine Greek and since I’m not getting any younger, I better get it done!
Hi Faith, God bless you! I love your enthusiasm 😊 please look at Jill Morikone’s studies and sermons. She, like you, has your type of enthusiasm and gift of articulating the deep and complex in a way we can understand. Praying for you and your ministry to be a blessing to Him🙏🏻😊
I have the Strong’s Bible Dictionary that I found at Goodwill. I have no idea how to use it. It’s very confusing on how to look things up. But, I did just get it on Friday so I haven’t really gotten into it a lot.
I think being a history nerd and a Bible nerd feed off one another. The more I read my Bible, the more I wanna know about the history, what was going on at the time. I heard you mention the biblical culture study Bible. It's next on my list of study bibles to get. I just wish I'd known years ago how to actually study the Bible instead of just reading a study Bible and going to random Bible studies.
I feel like you would really like Charis Bible College!!😃 They have a youtube channel with tons of amazing videos, and of course a bible college! (Me, my Mom, and my sister are currently attending the 1st year at Charis, and so far it is AMAZING❕😃
I’m laughing because I was asking God for all this info just about a month or two ago, how can I get explanations of scripture like I went to seminary school (w/out going bc I can’t ) and I find Faith gives me all the info of resources and has the enthusiasm I do about it.
Thank you for your video! I’m in my discernment process right now for seminary. Can you say what seminary you attended? Thank you for all the wonderful encouragement you give.
Bittersweet day today, had to get a new Bible 🙂. Why? Because my go to one is falling apart from use 😔. Decided to get the interleaved, thank you Faith 😊
Hey Faith - great video. Where do we find your Bible Reading Plan? I might not have looked hard enough, but I didn't see it on Patreon. Thanks Faith, keep doing what you're doing. Love it!
Hello lovely! Do you have advice for someone heading into Seminary? I have an ordination already, but am interested in vastly deepening my skill and understanding. How did you find the seminary program for you? Would you do anything different if you had it to do over? I am particularly interested in your viewpoint as a woman. Thank you so much for these videos! New sub.
What is your denomination? I've been watching your videos lately and I'm curious! I'm Catholic but I've been interested in seminary lately, or at least, a more formal Bible study than what I have been able to find in my area. I've also been really inspired by Bible journaling in general. The Catholic liturgy isn't aimed at Bible study, but rather, it's centered around the Eucharist. This makes it a bit difficult to find structured/dedicated Bible study groups. Some parishes have them, but mine is small and doesn't currently have one.
Hi Faith! I’m so glad I found your channel. I have a desire for seminary but am overwhelmed by how many there are and have no idea where to start. Where did you go to seminary?
I go to a Baptist church but do differ in their beliefs as far as Women in Ministry goes. So I’m wanting to find a good solid seminary that is scripture based but that also believes in ordaining women 🤷♀️
Hey Faith! I am really interested in Bible college and seminary, what exactly do you do in seminary? Is it just studying the Bible, is it showing how to dig deeper? Also, were you judged at seminary for being a woman? And if so (which I am kinda assuming) how bad was it?
Do you ever fear of becoming legalistic? Or ever feel like you should just read the Bible for itself when you use all the other resources all the time? Thanks for your videos, they really help us out here ❤️
I know this is old i hope someone can help my but what do you think of the ultimate bible dictionary is that a good one as well or should i just go for the one you have in you bio
A stronger understanding of how to do Faithful, *Biblical* exegesis and then probably also that LIFESTYLE of studying the Word like a Bible nerd and just loving it! But again, I really do KNOW that I acquired that because I wasn’t doing seminary alone but also parenting, running this youtube channel, in church ministry, etc and so doing life while learning like that really made it different than undergrad, which just felt like four focused years of study and that’s it…. Ya know?
I've been wanting to attend a Christian College for Counseling. My nephew attends and it seems he is pulling away from Yahweh since he has been going. It's a liberal college and they teach Jesus never mentioned being gay. Like God never said it himself.
Yes! I am actually *currently* building a short course on all the big stuff that I learned in Bible College and Seminary that I wish all Christians knew! I am calling it "Bible Study Bootcamp". It'll be less than $50 but a compilation of both my degrees and what I learned boiled down to what you NEED to know!
I am not gonna read the comments. I'm just going to comment first, but did they just value you as a pastor's wife? That person who said you didn't need a degree further than you've Oregon because you're female is ridiculous. In your church, you may not have female pastors. But that does not mean that you do not need further education to better yourself and to be the rock of your family and be able to better your husband's ministry Your ministry and your children's ministry. Let's not even mention the fact that with that knowledge you bring to the table a wealth of information. To people like me who has to spend 4 hours. I'm sorry 6 hours studying. The first 5 verses of chapter one of John. I have never understood listening to people. Preaching, I've never really opened a Bible. I've never owned a Bible until recently as I'll see my other comment on another video. But with your knowledge base and your skill. I think my brain just went explode, explode explode. Because it may only be a 6 minute vithough, but I've watched it over and over and over and over and I I've gone and read this scriptures your reference and for the first time, I'm understanding.
The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes! And let me tell you why Find more free resources at: www.graceambassadors.com

What? Wait, honey 🍯 throughout the Bible?!! So do you have a video on that? ❤️ your videos. Thanks for all you do.
I feel like you would really like Charis Bible College!!😃
They have a youtube channel with tons of amazing videos, and of course a bible college!
Another great and encouraging video, Faith! May I ask where you attended seminary and how you chose there?
Bittersweet day today, had to get a new Bible 🙂. Why? Because my go to one is falling apart from use 😔. Decided to get the interleaved, thank you Faith 😊
Sorry to hear that and thank you for sharing!
Hey Faith - great video. Where do we find your Bible Reading Plan? I might not have looked hard enough, but I didn't see it on Patreon. Thanks Faith, keep doing what you're doing. Love it!
You can find it here: howtofaithalife.samcart.com/products/grace-bible-reading-plan
@@HowtoFaithALife I found it late last night on an older video and I have already downloaded it. THX
Wonderful! I went online to a seminary in my denominational tradition- but what is your denomination?
I go to a Baptist church but do differ in their beliefs as far as Women in Ministry goes. So I’m wanting to find a good solid seminary that is scripture based but that also believes in ordaining women 🤷♀️
Become a pastor, Faith. You’d be incredible.
Hey Faith! I am really interested in Bible college and seminary, what exactly do you do in seminary? Is it just studying the Bible, is it showing how to dig deeper? Also, were you judged at seminary for being a woman? And if so (which I am kinda assuming) how bad was it?
I am hoping being a Christian college it is not judemental on your sex
Because we are not to judge other's
@@debbiebalnaves4842 ok, that's what i was hoping for, but I have heard of some christian colleges being judgemental and rude sometimes
Where did you go to seminary school?
Do you ever fear of becoming legalistic? Or ever feel like you should just read the Bible for itself when you use all the other resources all the time?
Thanks for your videos, they really help us out here ❤️
Hey there! Which one out of the two Bible dictionaries would you recommend buying first? (:
Just go Andrew Wilson's book in the mail...today!!!!
I am kind of odd in that I prefer textbook type literature. Do you have any good ones from seminary or your other degree that you could recommend?
What denomination are you?
Didn't really answer any of my questions. I was looking for a video on what is a bible seminary and what goes on in bible seminary
Which Seminary did you attend?
I know this is old i hope someone can help my but what do you think of the ultimate bible dictionary is that a good one as well or should i just go for the one you have in you bio
If asked, how would you sum up or what would you say are your two main takeaways from seminary?
A stronger understanding of how to do Faithful, *Biblical* exegesis and then probably also that LIFESTYLE of studying the Word like a Bible nerd and just loving it! But again, I really do KNOW that I acquired that because I wasn’t doing seminary alone but also parenting, running this youtube channel, in church ministry, etc and so doing life while learning like that really made it different than undergrad, which just felt like four focused years of study and that’s it…. Ya know?
Which Seminary school did you go to?
What seminary did you go to?
How can someone do Homeschool seminary if that was the only choice?
What seminary??
I've been wanting to attend a Christian College for Counseling. My nephew attends and it seems he is pulling away from Yahweh since he has been going. It's a liberal college and they teach Jesus never mentioned being gay. Like God never said it himself.
Do you have Bible nerd shirts on other colors?
Yes! Click on the merch button here to check out all the options: beacons.ai/howtofaithalife/
Can we nerd out without having a degree? I feel so inadequate
@@HowtoFaithALife Thank you! I enjoy your videos. Melissa Dougherty, Andrew Farley, Dr Flowers and Dr John Barnett are others we listen to as well 🌺

STOP 😂 with that awful noise!
You talk so fast
Just an fyi. The playback speed can be changed on RUclips. She is passionate. Love her videos.
hey faith have any tips on reading the bible for someone struggling with ocd? Thanks 🫂
The Gospel:
Plain and
Simple
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your
minds should be corrupted from the simplicity
that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3
Ask someone today if they are saved and
you will most likely hear responses like these:
“I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I
have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been
baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good
and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually
knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what
the gospel is and has left a devastating effect
of people not knowing what it is that they are
saved from nor how they are saved; which
leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation.
Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church
sounding phrases that do not communicate
anything. But rather present God’s word with
clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel:
plain and simple.
Sin was passed upon all men by one man
Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin
(Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of
condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of
this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good
works one might do we are still found sinners
in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found
righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even
one law we are found guilty.
It is for this reason of not being able to
create our own righteousness and being born
in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus
3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in
the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross
2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath
and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial,
and resurrection on our behalf that we are
able to have peace with God and forgiveness
of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good
news is unto all but only those that believe in
it are made righteous in Christ (Romans
3:22).
It is then after we have heard this good
news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit
and we are now part of Christ’s body the
church (Eph 1:13)
There is nothing that we need to do, no
good works that are required, and no bad
works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39).
Faith and belief in this information from
God’s word is the gospel.
The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your
heart. The gospel is not making him lord of
your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not
being baptized with water.
So next time someone asks you if you are
saved. Give them the clear assured answer
“Yes! And let me tell you why
