Today I am trying out etsy art supplies and tools! You can't buy anything like this in stores I'm really amazed at how great everything is - totally shocked!
Handmade art supplies have been a thing for a while, I even did a video trying an etsy craft kit / box a couple years back!

I’m not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but the brush holder looks like it was laser cut! You said that the inside of the brush holes was finished with paint, but what’s really cool is that’s actually the burned wood from a laser cutter! I think laser cutting is a really cool technology and could be used for so many things! ^_^

Exactly what I thought when she said that. Best part about laser cut is that it makes its own finish that can also be painted over well too!

the brush holder must be really good for who work with miniature painting and dioramas, since you need so many detail brushes. I feel like every youtube artist should by this, because they seem so practical for any type of artist
I love that paint cup! A little holder and textured bottom to clean the brush are such nice touches!

the panda brush rests would also work as chop stick rests. gorgeous
i think they are actually meant as that and someone is just selling them on etsy as a brush rest

My mom does resin and it is a long impatient process that isn’t always perfect. She makes trays, costars,chess/checkers boards clipboards etc.
Have you ever looked at the hand made water colour paints on there ? I’ve ordered from a shop called honey bee pigments and they’re beautiful paints. ❤
The handmade pottery items are so cute 😍 also, I agree, I wouldn’t really want to use that pretty palette either, possibly watercolour but I couldn’t bring myself to use other mediums
Not only are those items beautiful, they're well designed too! As many hours as artists spend in the studio, having the best equipment you can afford isn't just a luxury splurge, it's a necessity. Anything that promotes better art and a more enjoyable experience is definitely worth it!

I have the little pandas but it came from aliexpress for $1. Hopefully yours is more hand made.
The pandas are actually chopstick holders, but yeah they can double as PB holders

Fresh flowers go brown from the heat of the resin used. So the flowers in the palet are dried and obviously pressed.

I have that elastic easel brush holder and I have given it as a gift to several people and it's 100% worth it. I clip it to my table or my sketchbook.
Oh I also use them for colored pencils if I have a few that I'm reaching for over and over again

The pandas are from aliexpress, the person who chloe bought them from just buys them cheap from aliexpress and then inflates the price. If you want the pandas buy them from aliexpress please don’t support lazy stores that just buy cheap stuff in bulk from aliexpress.
Fantastic video Chloe! I have been wanting another cup for my watercolor rinsing, but I want one that I can put a Paint Puck into! I am not as sure as you in the ability of the ceramics to not wear out my brushes with the criss-cross pattern in the bottom. I love the dip in the rim for an additional brush rest! I hope your able to do more Artsy Shops. I have purchased from Etsy sellers for a while and they are still a good place to go to get Artisan products and support small businesses. Personal websites are best, but they can be difficult to find, perhaps that might be a video topic? I think a lot of people tune in to your videos and this is a smashingly grand idea!
Love the pandas! A long time ago someone gave me a brush holder that was a crab with his claws holding the brush. Not sure where that went. The paint brush rack is awesome. Yet another thing I can use in my argument with my husband of why I need a laser cutter

I know I would never put my paintbrushes away properly if I had to put them in that organizer. 😂 I have about 110 paintbrushes (I counted sometime in the last 6 months when I was going through them to organize) and I just keep them in 2 nice jars. A jar of larger ones and a jar of smaller ones. It doesn't matter which jar medium sized ones end up in. They're also far more portable that way, to move between out-of-the-way storage and workspace as needed. That giant organizer seems inconvenient. 🤷
I have a VERY funny packaging peanut story : XMASS DAY, my mom, dad & I were watching the trash being picked up… garbage guy kicked a box (about a foot and a half tall, a foot long & deep) long story short…. We were picking up packing peanuts in JUNE the next year!!!

Those panda brush stands tho, oh my goodness, they were so utterly adorable! That water cup was really lovely and the pattern inside to clean brushes on was great, but it's just way too small iI feel. if it was twice the width and had more brush rests on it, I might consider it tho. I really liked that.brush stand too. Most artists have tons of extra brushes, I know I do, lol. A stand of that size is a great idea. Thank you Chloe. God bless you and all those you love.

I so desperately need one of those brush holders, and then I went to the Etsy page and realized that it was over $100 between shipping and exchange. I'm all for supporting small-business but that's ridiculous. I'm going to look for somebody local that does laser cutting and see whether or not they can copy the design. Thanks for the idea though.

I squealed at the cat brush holder. I have the exact same one (the calico laying on it's back with it's paw up, and a black and white one). If I ever move to a bigger place (I live in a shoe box flat) I am investing in so much more handmade stuff.

The brush holder was laser cut, so the black insides are actually burnt wood from the laser.

That mega brush holder is awesome. I have the cheap circular one from The Works that I'm using right now and I've not outgrown it .. yet...
But then again most of my collection is 0000 to 00 and I can stack 4 to 5 in one hole. I only have 4 that won't fit it but they are so large that they don't look like they'd fit the one you got either... So a jar it is 😅
I will say though. I'm looking for one of those marker storage cabinets that I've seen some art RUclipsrs have. I want mine nicely organised and easily to hand 😭 I need the key words they used to find the huge storage

THe cats you saw online and the pandas you got are actually Chop Stick holders! Obviously they work just as well as paint rests :)
The resin paint pallette definitely had pressed dried flowers in it. Fresh flowers go all brown when they come into contact with resin and depending on the type of flower, the water could cause the resin to not cure correctly.

I'd say that brush holder looks ideal for watercolour artists and crafters/hobbyists who paint miniatures. I love watercolour and rarely work on surfaces larger than an A4 paper size so the bulk of my brushes are tiny. My go-to workhorse brush is only a no.6 round.
The paint brush rack isn't painted. The black is burning because it is laser cut.
