We do not have the video of us leading the wires to the glove box, as it is hard to film. Usually there is the space that allows you to run the wires through, to the glove box. However sometimes if there is no space, the installer needs to make the hole inside the glove box, to lead the wires through.

question is yrs 3rd party install mines is a 3rd party install from previous owner of car when I bought the car owner connected it up for me. many months ago I disconnected my phone from it as it was peeing me off connecting to apply car play everytime I turned car on to drive it. I reconnected it but for love nor money I can’t get my phone to play sound to the car via the Apple car play. I’ve tried everything I can think of wife connected, Bluetooth connected etc. It also mirrors from my phone to the car but again still no sound? I have everything paired up. What am I doing wrong? I have a 2012 450h gs

You need to install GApps first, please refer to the user guide page 6 and up.

Usually in the glove box, to keep the box accessible for the firmware update, if needed.

@@carlos103301 Switch button cable is probably very customized setup. In general you do not need any extra cables for CarPlay to work via VLine.
