I've got a pair and I love them. Finally, something from Powerslide that doesn't hurt my feet (too much). In the beginning they were killing my feet in different places, from my previous powerslides, but after a few hours I can now keep them on forever. I can only complain about their quality control as one of the screw mounts was kind of not totally inside the slot, slightly sideways, and did a little dent in the metal plate. They ride really nice as well. I agree about the lack of padding around the cuff area, and that the wheels are weird, but after some wearing down they start behaving more consistently (less grippy, more slidy). Please do experiment with soul plates on them!
@@RicardoLino yes!!! In the beginning they were rattling like mad! I even filmed it to ask the shop if that was normal, but now after removing the frames to experiment with another I had around, and putting the original back again, it's a lot better. One of the frame screws was not on the slot, and dented the metal part a bit, it might have had something to do with it.
bought these skates suddenly, loved their look. I'm not expert, did couple of rides, what I can say: they may dissapoint a little at very start: rattling sounds, empty space around ankle, wheels strange behavior - that's true, BUT when you ride them more most things change to normal: wheels become GREAT (after some hours), they're stable and fun for slides at same time, rattling almost dissapears after remounting wheels (not sure what's the reason of that). I exchanged liners and laces between these cl15 and usd sways, own both and now switched liners match better to the shells, also upped cuff a little higher now they bend forward easely. I'd say again they're very comfy (with fat liner). I ride only one season, owned four skates: micro mt+, usd sway, twisters xt, cl15 - all for wide feet i think, and can say that cl15 is most comfortable and fun pair no doubt, and they call you to go out just when you look at them. I like their shiny toy look as well, mostly the frame's design. What I don't like: shell got scratched deeply after few regular falls, plastic ripped off hugely, I cutted hair-like chunks with scissors and that's now gives me feel that they might wear off fast. Compared to other my skates these are made of the softest plastic. Other minor things I don't like: frame doesn't fit well to twisters' boot =) there's a 1cm miss forward or backward but not just in center like with original boots, 4x90 setup is quite high because they have space for 3x110.
I own the Nexts and found the 40 size was too large for my mondo (L: 256- R: 260) and of course the 39sz is too small. It is good now they have a model to suit wider feet, but I was initially skeptical about them using the Second Skin. I decided to replace the stock Recall Liner with the (green) Nick Lomax Second Skin liner, and replaced the insole with one which I cut slightly longer than my foot. It fills the shell perfectly. Now, for a carbon trinity Next boot to hit the market - that would be insane.
Thanks Ricardo! Tomorrow I’ll personally check out the sound of the skates. We had test them wit some hard hockey session. And you know how we play and they were great boot out of the box! Comfort is really important part on this shell and we always suggest this boot if you have problems with narrow boots. Cheers BTW the GoPro works good and the microphone make his job.
@@RicardoLino I think that what your channel needs more is simply some videos of you skating and doing nothing in particular - just cruising and having fun. I also always really enjoy those parts. Btw., is it possible that you could test those frames on a different boot and with some better wheels? Basically they seem to be a cheaper Wizard/Endless alternative (but it doesn't seem that the frame alone is available anywhere) and I wondered about them ever since I saw the offering on those boots.
Someone needs to slap a raised soul on these. Sway, maybe? They look really good and it's nice that there's now basically a wider version of the Next boot, though kind of a shame it's 165-mount instead of Trinity. Edit: So I left my comment before getting to the end. Really interested to see if you're able to get a soul on there!
Yea, shame no Trinity version.. yet. I'm hoping, haha. (Although I'm probably just too big for one size, so the next size up would be huge for me.) Seriously, the Next is too narrow, the Zoom too wide, why wouldn't they make this Trinity?
@@mwrayknee the zoom / sway is not too wide! I have a pair, 43/44, and I can't use them for more than 1 hour without getting a huge blister on a specific point on my feet (both)! these CL15 in 42/43 I can wear for hours without major pain issues.
Hi @RicardoLino ! I am looking for new skates, I am skating for a year with a cheap second hand skates and I'd like a new ones to start with "wizard" and street skating. I've seen this video and the Iqon CL15 sound perfect. Do you recomended it? are there any other alternative for tha price? 200-300€ Thanks!!
Look for new Flying Eagle X7D, best value for money ever... if you have real wide feet (or like the weird cl15 color) go for the Iqon... They have a 25% discount at Bladeville just now... Another option is Next 90 charcoal with the combat frame (longer and lower not so swively but super stable)... Depends on your foot shape and what look you prefer 🙃
Hey wheel addict, I am struggling to choose the best 4x90 frames and wheels to pair with my FR1s, I do lots of urban skating, jumps, stairs, and gaps, but also love to cruise very quickly through the city so not too sure if I want a rocker or not as I like to be stable skating quickly. I cannot decide which frames to get, Iqon Decode 4x90, Endless 4x90, Rockin Mix 4, or Adapt symmetrics 4x90. Which frames do you recommend for this type of skating? Is 90mm the right wheel size as I have size 41 EU feet? Thanks
Thank you :) About the frames. Well I love my endless 90s / 110s i really do. Also after skating the flying eagle Liberty 5x80 , I’ll tell you to check the flying eagle liberty 4x90 . Only one wheel option but solid 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻
There is an Endless 90ES (291mm) more stable than regular 90's but still nicely maneuverable... Perfect urban speed frame imho. Also the longer wheelbase will be nice for stairs and jumps 😉
With Iqon's Decode frames you can try whether you like rockering - they support both. Actually, for the price of a Decode 90 + wheels you can buy these very skates, the cl15, then you get an extra pair of boots, too. I don't know yet whether these somewhat modified frames can be used unrockered, though.
See I was about to question that to, cause I’m like oh they make colored in lines now? I thought Iqon and disloyal was solely the basic black. I like how they look though. I agree there is a rattling sound in the video, hope you find out what it is.
