Hey everyone, just a quick, friendly reminder that bots are bad, Mkay? We run TheoJoe's bot destroyer 9000 several times a day to try and clear them out, but they just keep popping up. Unless the comment is from @DawidDoesTechStuff YT Account, it is not from me.
I am giving away the Custom PC to a viewer through Gleam - the winner will be drawn next week Wednesday, and the winner will not have to pay for shipping or import duties. Please don't give any personal information or money away to anyone on the internet willy-nilly.
P.S. I DO NOT HAVE TELEGRAM.
i was today years old when i found out that bot destroyers are an actual thing that work. Also, I guess that means that you are a certified big RUclipsr that even bots are trying to be you. hehe...wow 2 minutes ago, nice.
Yeah I had one pop up on my comment earlier

Thanks for doing this on many counts. As someone who managed to fry a pc once building it I am hesitant to do a build myself but recently I am gaining enough confidence to do a few things, and hopefully a full build sometime soonish. Your videos are enjoyable and the odd pairings and wacky missions you set for yourself set you apart. Keep having fun doing this, it shows.
you're using proper anti-static measures, right?
right?
You know every time I watch your videos with stress I just feel relieved. I don't know why but your character and uniqueness just makes my day better. We need more people like you.👍👏👏

520 dollars for a 3060? That's robbery even in CAD
true, within that price range go for amd
Mine was 479 (euro) even in the middle of the gpu crisis lol
How much are they usually? I’m new to this haha.. clearly
@@Foreverceltic Right now? About $350 USD for the cheapest card. You can cheap out even more if you get refurbished mining cards off AliExpress and get a 3060 12GB (Not M) for less than $300 USD, with the obvious caveats of lackluster warranty and unguaranteed longevity.
In short, Dawid got scammed *HARD* lmao.
But that's the price, and that's why I got an rx 6600
I absolutely love that case from a building perspective. My jaw dropped at 7:41, when you removed the part of the side panel to make cable routing easier.
I never understood why people dont like building pc's. Its so fun to see what your building brought at the end when the maschine runs smooth and you can say " i made this" it had a kind of self acomplishment that i personally enjoy having
you could say the same for anything you use on a daily basis like your car, furniture, house etc. Not everyone has the time/expertise/energy to be bothered.
Maybe cause they don’t wanna spend that much time and effort along with the possibility of breaking parts 💀
@@dupt2547 this 😂 I’m impatient and have disposable income so buying prebuilt is the best way for me. I want to build one eventually but I don’t have the time or patience right now.
not everybody knows how to build a custom pc.
if you never built one, the chances of not being able to complete the build is pretty much a guarantee.

Totally agree that there is so much satisfaction building your own. The slight frustrations that come along with some builds is half the fun already. And a huge thanks for making the giveaway as simple as it should be. Instead of clicking 35 different links.
Th3 difference in sound alone makes building your own worth it
What a nice video on building PCs! I would also add that with building your own PC, you are able to shop around for the best prices for each individual parts, and also pick the best makers for each component, rather than being restricted to one brand and having little control over what you are getting aside from the basic specs. After all, the prebuild system had to cheap out somewhere to make up for the poor margins on the core components like CPU and GPU.
Love the way you let us experience that it shouldn't be that stressing building your own system. You finally convinced me that it is really fun. Will try to build my own system with the season holidays coming up. Thanks for another informative video on this subject! 🤗
That’s awesome! Good luck and remember, there are so many sources online to help you through the process. Don’t be afraid to look for help. 😃
ayyeeeeee i found the weird lizard......just kidding, hoping best for ur first build
Not only is it fun, but its so rewarding. You will feel such a happiness over that its actually yours and you made it look the way it does. The best part after that is, if you dont like something in the long run, you can always change it for something you like even more! :)
Good luck, my favorite part about building my own system is that I dont have to commit to an exact set of specs and have to live with it, I have actually had "one system" for years and have just slowly upgraded individual parts. I hope you come to enjoy building your own pc as much as I do!
@@DawidDoesTechStuff it just sucks that as I looked for help I mostly got people telling me to "just read the manual" or telling me I shouldn't be getting that part and I should instead spend way more for a different part. Like all I wanted was some extra help as I upgraded my PC but instead I was left very confused and struggling until I eventually figured it out myself
Those temps in that prebuilt make me wonder how that'd do on a hot day here in the Philippines. That puts it firmly in the lose box for me.
Prebuilds were always bad when I first got into pc's so i learned to build. glad people actually have some decent choices for a pre-built these days. Building will always be better for the overall quality of parts.
The hardest part of the build where a geek's power really is getting put to test 6:40.
It's like the foil-wrap is fighting back or something.
And it bends too easily so you have to be careful
Oh man.... that custom build worked out so awesome, looks sweet!!! I wish I had the skills, time, confidence and money to be able to do what Dawid does on his builds!
You can, it's easy. The hard part is finding what parts to pick out, because of quality, pricing, compatibility, and performance metrics. But once you have a parts list, the building part is just following a build guide. I build multiple PCs now, have started off with nothing but online tutorials. You can totally pull it off, just try it!
Reminds of my first built with no money, and a lot of errors. It was a great TBT video!
The all white on black internals contrast is gorgeous, damn.
Dawid is straight up one of the most underrated tech people on RUclips.
Anyone know the background song used at 6:04?

side note: I thought today was saturday xD
I'm currently binging all of his videos :)
You have quickly become my go to channel for PC/ Tech videos. I find your videos so refreshing compared to other channels, keep it up Dawid!
Great video as always, this is a good guide for a PC as well, I would love to upgrade my old prebuilt from 4 years, but it still holds up really well which is great.
The custom totally won ! Be Quiet is amazing for that too ! I have a pure rock 2 cpu cooling fan. Even with the highest settings from the game The Devil in me, I never reach over 45 degrees, the gpu actually didn't like with his 79 degrees but actually run good :) Thanks a lot for your content and continue to help me with all the knowledge you have ! :P
Except if you like your games to run smoothly, then the prebuild destroyed it with the 1% lows. But who wants smooth gameplay?
@@kidShibuya Yes but it was not that big of a difference. If you want a computer that have a longer lifespan. Custom is much better with temps and upgradebility

@10:04 is where you really said the best sentence to describe whether or not to build vs buy for newbies- advice like that is what grows the hobby... Good job as usual Dawid
The fact the Be quiet is more quiet and cooler, makes a huge difference in my opinion. Also, that slick white and black interior looks sick.
I am also always super impressed with your cable management. I have zero patience for that! lol
Same, I hate when my PC makes the same noise as a Boeing 747.
Mine looks ugly but a 360 aio does wonders. I found the smallest case that fits a 360 aio and it makes all the difference. I don't OC so i don't ever hear my PC.
These pcs are getting too powerful even for Dawid
Great video mate, just stumbled upon your channel. I find these type of vids really educational for a pc novice like myself and the more i watch these pc build vids the more i want to build my own gaming pc.
I was surprised that I actually like the way this machine looks all assembled. I always go back and forth on white cases. But that is a pretty cool little storm trooper gaming setup. I entered to hopefully upgrade my daughter into this as I think this would be way better for her to stream on twitch that her older 10th gen with a much older GPU. Keep up the amazing work. I always am excited to watch your new vids.
The custom seems to be the better option if you care about cooling and getting quality components in my opinion. Which is one of the reasons I continue to do it myself and not even look at prebuilts tbh. (Also no RGB suit is my style so building it myself gives me wide control over that aspect)
Like Every modern Prebuilt has water-cooling, like what if I don't like water cooling XS
Dawid is a multi-national treasure and must be protected at all costs! Love the videos as always.

combination of white and black in custom builds is always special, especially if its custom built, process alone makes it much more valuable, even tho i can understand convenience of prebuild system even if u leave some performance on the table..
I’ve been into working on my cars for years
Last year when I built my first PC I realized why people love building custom computers…similar vibe and it’s just rewarding to DIY
Love dawids take on tech nonsense - his vids are ace! I so appreciate his wit and humour and guaranteed everytime I'm always consistently chuckling along... love it, razor sharp content my friend...
This could've had a 6700X and it would've been a better system, or a 3060Ti if you change the cooler and case but that's the point of the sponsor lol
That's by far the easiest entry for a giveaway I have ever seen... You are awesome, bro... Keep up the good work..
I think the prebuilt was the winner, because it gave almost the same performance without the effort of building. I've been saying for awhile now that the margin of performance between prebuilts and custom pc's is getting thinner and thinner every year, and I think this is a good example
But prebuilt over time will last you less, since the GPU is running in such high temps that decreases lifetime. Also, that’s temps of a low temp weather. In summer you’ll see that GPU throttling in performance due to the high temps. The prebuilt is also limited in how much you can upgrade since it’s so small when compared to the BeQuiet it can be upgradable to a bigger variety of GPUs.
If you want a prebuilt, get a used pc. Sometimes you can find really good deals, like my luckiest find was $350 usd for an i7 11700kf, 3060 ti cyberpowerpc. It was used for like 3-7 months. Too many people spend money on something, and give up on it when they realize they dont want it anymore. Also, the most expensive part of any build nowadays is the gpu. It wouldn't hurt to have your whole build be new, but the gpu used. Even if it was mined, its still good and you'd be saving a good amount of cash
@@linkkevin11 But there are prebuilts now that have cases with great cooling; the latest generation of Omen is an example, and it's in the $1,500 category
really? look at the temps and noise.
@@tardwrangler1019 I didn't say this pc---obviously this prebuilt has problems with both. But prebuilts like the latest Omen I mentioned have ventilated fronts with dual fans, and a CPU cooler that isn't ewaste
The custom was so much nicer than the pre-built. Definitely like the quality of the Be Quiet products! The noise level of the custom system was awesome!
After watching your vids and realizing if Dawid can do it then so can i, i finally dived head first into a waterless pool and stripped my POS alienware and built my own pc. It was exciting, scary, frustrating and relaxing all at the same time usually the feeling i get while on a havy night on the sauce. I built a pc with some NZXT and BEQUIET goodies and i couldnt be happier. Thankyou Dawid keep up the top notch content.
You're an inspiration. I recently got a white be quiet 500DX and it's a great case, although the build inside is more ancient than the new one you've built!
While I like building PCs, I've gone pre-built for the last couple desktops because it was actually cheaper to do so when adding up the cost of the individual components plus a Pro-grade Windows license.

Great build, really love that case, easily one of the best looking and performing cases out there.
Definitely go with the custom build.
Better temperatures are rather important.
Also looks a whole lot better 👍🏻
hello Dawid how are you
I bought the Pure Base 500 FX after getting a Pure Rock 2 a few months ago. It completely changed my build from the blacked out NZXT H510 I had before and runs so much cooler now. Was super easy to build in and was an amazing deal for their anniversary. The range of colors it comes with stock is awesome.
The one single thing I don’t like is the glass panel screws being individual and not retained but they’re still very nice quality.
I will be 77 y.o. in 2 weeks and I still enjoy building PCs. On Black Friday I went by Micro Center to pick up an order I'd placed the night before. It was for a 2nd system just to play with and for when grandkids visit. I didn't order a case and wasn't planning on getting one yet, but changed my mind and grabbed the cheapest one they had without researching it. It is the Monarch X1 mid-tower ATX case and what a PITA to build in!! There was no room on the backside to manage cables and still put the back panel on. It came with 4 RGB fans that were powered by a molex connector, thus the RGB was not addressable, nor could you change the fan speed. I got the case to work, but it was not a fun build.
I really enjoy your content. I think in a saturated RUclips world you really have a stand out presentation that is unique and very enjoyable. I hope you continue to attract the views you deserve.👍
I use a configurator since I know the parts I want, I just don't trust myself to build it. A couple of weeks ago I got a 12600kf/3080 12gb rog strix combo with 32gb corsair vengeance 3600 RAM, Corsair RMX 850W, 1tb NVME, Fractal Meshify 2 case and Tuf Gaming mb for around £1650 built for me. I'm quite surprised it arrived in one piece since it was much cheaper than other configurators were offering. Well pleased with it (apart from some pretty bad coil whine at times on the GPU but that's quite common among the rog strix versions, so I hear), although obviously it would be cheaper still building it.
Licking the metal contact points before putting parts into a computer is my favourite part though
@@jordanlazarus7345 orly.
The one nice thing about building PCs today as to back in say the 1990's is everything is auto-detect and because of better standards, most things are compatible with other things (from a component standpoint). So for example, you can pretty much plug any video card into any motherboard, and provided you have enough power, it should work fine. Whereas back in the day, you maybe had to flip DIP switches to make things work, and trouble shooting blank boot screens was a bit harder and if you were lucky, you got beep codes to tell you what the problem was. But even the beep codes themselves could have various meanings. It's just an easier experience today as it's pretty much all plug and play, providing you got the correct RAM for the motherboard and CPU combination. There is still the requirement too to make sure that the CPU is compatible with the board, which has always been the case, as is the RAM, but as far as other components, far less of an issue, especially with things like running a dedicated graphics card and CPU graphics at the same time, which may not have been possible in the 90s (unless you got some specialised hardware was probably wasn't common back then; today to run dual graphics it's easy as changing a few settings and in many cases, can be auto-detect). And then you had the nasty IDE master/slave stuff to be concerned with, and if set incorrectly, your system might not boot even if you installed the OS correctly. Today's computers are less tedious to build (fastest I ever put together a computer -- from a hardware standpoint -- was probably 15-20 minutes after everything was unboxed; from start to power-up and testing).
For some builds, I have found it much easier to put the CPU, memory and cooler on outside of the case and then screw everything in afterwards, so you can ensure things like heatsink clips are fastened, installing any board-mounted storage (like NVME drives, which are easier to install when the board is outside of the case most of the time), and RAM is installed correctly especially if it happens to sit in an add location where installing it after the board is installed is either very difficult or not possible (less likely in most systems, unless it's something like a compact ITX system or SFF PC). Despite best practices, I always ripped off the plastic CPU cover prior to raising the top plate, which come to find out, is not how you're "supposed" to do it, but I have yet to damage any pins in the some 20-30 computers I've worked on over the years with this type of socket (the "LGA" socket type).
You Know Dawid is smart when he compares prebuilt to custom bulid
That Be Quiet Case is the best case i ever had. using it for a year and its perfect. plenty of space, cable management is easily done and the airflow is enormous.
Be Quiet by a wide margin. Excellent Work!
By far the funniest and most charming tech youtuber. Every video is such a treat and I look forward to watching them after work.
After over 30 years of building custom (for myself and others) the stress on first power on never goes away but the euphoria when it all comes together is second to none. Plus you get to avoid Alma going custom, always a bonus.
The novelty wore off for me. Fun when it all works, not fun when it doesnt whether its small niggles or a key component is doa so you need to rma. Last time around I used a custom builder that allowed me to pick whatever components I wanted based around the cpu. Built it and warrantied it (at overclocked speeds) for 2yrs and the price was less than 5% over buying the same components myself. For me it was a no brainer.
Just found you channel and I just wanna say the fact that you're not only giving away an awesome PC, but you added more to it at the end is really awesome! Great video and you've definitely earned a sub from me!
I was having a pretty crappy day, and I was overall pretty stressed, but as soon as I saw this video, I just was able to sit down. It's nice watching your content
Another perfect video. Idk why, but watching you building those computers is really relaxing.
What surprises me most is the shockingly not terrible performance of the pre-built. We all know that with a little knowledge and patience you can build a more powerful PC for the price of a given pre-built, but it seems like a few manufacturers have started watching YT and decided to make some non-garbage systems available and I'm happy about it.
I'll stick to building, but I'm glad I don't *have* to build it myself to get a half decent machine
I have been building, and cobelling together spare parts, my own PC's since 2000. They are always superior to any prebuilt for the simple fact that you built it yourself, along with a whole list of other reasons. I wish it wasn't so dang expensive so I could build more than one every few years.
Great content as always Dawid. I can't explain why, but I get excited every time I see that you posted a new video. Thanks for all the great entertainment you give to the world.
You're supposed to build, then upgrade with the planned upgrade path you built for yourself.
Buying a whole new PC every few years would make you an Apple user. Eeeee! Stinky apples smeared with Steve Jobs fart juice.
No thanks, I'll upgrade my system like a maverick, until the point where I can't add a better CPU without risking the formation of a miniature black hole above the northbridge, or the capacitors spray lethal jaundice juice in my eye.
Recently found ur channel and gotta say i love ur vids, and i have learned alot from them, the humor you have and the way u explain things just makes it perfect. Ive been looking for pc parts for quite awhile now, wanted to build my own pc too, but everything is just super expensive and i can't afford it.
I have not built a PC for over 12 years and I'm in the process of doing it. You can throw tons of money at it, but building a quality system on a budget was (is) really a fun challenge. It's all numbers.
I have to admit, I didn't expect the performance to be so close as far as frame rate is concerned. The lower temps and noise pollution are factors to the positive that should not be overlooked. Thanks for putting in the work Dawid.
I had a pre-built for about 3 years; it's a great way to get introduced. Having just built my own, I can say that there is no competition between custom and pre-built.
not trying to be a snog but the systems you build yourself look better and you know there's no hidden gremlins inside waiting to bite your backside just when you have your pants down. Keep up the good work Dawid.
7:55 you really had some balls of steel there. I would never walk away after putting a glass side panel on without screws 😂
I love ur videos. It always suprises me those cinematic scenes you filmed at the beginning whether it’s intended or not. Great job❤
Another great, feel-good episode; it’s always like an informative video stress ball. Ahhh. The custom-build wins, hands down - looks, build quality, functionality and operation (even if the 2060 is a tad exxy - what can you do atm?). I’ve always built my own, never met a pre-built that didn’t need pulling apart and repairing upon arrival - or just immediate mercy-killing by lump hammer. Love the Be Quiet kit. Thanks!
