Can You Beat Fallout 3 Without Taking Any Radiation Damage?
Radiation damage, just like regular damage, has no immediate impact on how you play the game, but, for reasons I’ll explain later on, I drained points from Endurance and distributed my 9 SPECIAL points amongst the other stats, got mocked by everyone at my birthday party, they seemed to know what my future had in store for me, I shot a bug, and was woken up by someone who would be much more attractive with her head splattered all over that wall over there.
I was finally in the real game, and the time had come to set things straight. The thing about Radiation is that no matter your level, no matter your perks or skills or armor, you can never go beyond 1000 rads without dying. But if your health is at 1, the amount of radiation required to be lethal drops to 199, as ticking over to 200 gives you Minor Radiation Poisoning which will end you in this circumstance. To ensure that any radiation ends me, I used a console command to set my rad level to 199. Any amount of radiation results in being ended because my max health is 1. That means that this is a true No Damage run. No radiation damage, no damage damage. I’m as fragile as I can possibly be, the emotional damage of my father abandoning me pairs nicely with all the other trauma I’ve experienced in the last 11 seconds, which makes it the perfect time to escape the vault.
Escaping the Vault without taking damage is not terribly difficult. I expunged far too much ammo on Butch’s parent after I ended him, so I went back in time to let her get mauled by the roaches, ended the troublemakers blocking my path, ended the vault security guards for what they had in their pockets, ended the Security Chief and the Overseer too, opened the escape tunnel, and was out into the Capital Wasteland. I leveled up and went all-in on Small Guns. No other skill is worth having. Barter can be useful and Lockpick is nice to have, but my primary focus is being able to attack from a distance with at least some level of success. In some alternate dimension, perhaps one where I didn’t burn my finger on my toaster oven when making cheese sticks several weeks ago, I would have put some points into Sneak.
Outside Megaton, the Caravan Guard had 2 grenades that I thought would look nice on my Christmas tree or flying through the air at a small child with the pin pulled out. He took 10 shots to the dome like they were nothing. I went ahead and tested my luck at Atom’s Glory Puddle to make sure any radiation ended me. It did, but it wasn’t as instantaneous as I would’ve liked. Still, it was quick enough that you don’t really have enough time to do much of anything.

Well, Mitten does these challenges on easy mode, but this doesn't take away his achievement, this needs a huge load of patience.

The only more embarassing way of dying to a grenade is choking on the pin.
I once saw a fake news article where someone put a grenade in his ass and while trying to pull it out, accidentally removed the pin.

That ending was a lot more unexpected than I thought. Yeah, I knew the answer would yes or no, but never in my life have I seen the end of the game glitch to the point of seeing your father and other scientists chilling in the purifier
In a Bethesda game anything is possible.
And then your father heartlessly watching a girl younger than himself die in front of him after being forced to by his child

*Can you beat Fallout New Vegas by Killing Everything?* Rules:
-You must kill everyone you see immediately on sight.
-You cannot run away from a fight or ignore any person or creature you see -Cannot engage in any dialogue that isn’t forced
-Essentially the complete opposite of a pacifist run
New Vegas developers said that every character can be killed, so put that to the test.
MATN did it years back but I’d love to see Paul’s run through.

Dude, I’ve got some advice with Burke and the sheriff. After sheriff arrests Burke, Burke shoots him and tells you to watch your back. Then you can shoot Burke and no one will care. So after that you get both npc’s loot. Then use the key to the megaton armory. This way you become really op early on in the game. Makes these runs far easier for me. Be careful because there’s a mister gutsy in there but other than that it’s free game to a bunch of mid- late game weapons.
You lose out on the only two places to have your own house with furniture tho

It’ll certainly be difficult depending on the situation he’s in but it’s an interesting challenge.
You can beat the Hardcore New Vegas without ever eating a single thing, so the hardest part would really be finding enough fresh apples, I'd think.

For those wondering why the radiation took a variable amount of time to kill him, radiation damage can actually deal
Paul might very well be one of the best writers on YT.
His humor is subtle and layered, and delivered in a way that makes it all the more better.
I remember the one time I tried to complete fallout 3 without saving and it went really good until a random car blew up when I was near it from a battle I was in with some raiders and I died... needless to say I almost threw my console out my window from frustration. (I tried it again and managed to beat it)

So about those moments of radiation damage - it's because you set your rads to 199. Meaning you have one full point of rads you can take before you officially die. There are many parts in the game where you take

Seen you beat Bethesda games seemingly hundreds of times and still am excited to see you do it again for some reason. Never knew you could beat Fallout 3 with Dad surviving.
Can you beat fallout 4 with only a flare gun, and the minutemen's help?

The flare gun is a great challenge (I'd go so far as to say that the artillery strikes are fair game too since they're used by the minutemen), however does the flare gun work inside buildings? If not, do the flares do any damage if they hit someone?
@@TeamJella the flare gun does 10 damage (12 with perks). It cannot summon Minutemen inside buildings.
@@TeamJella Flares do damage, upon impact and then exploding where they land. I would think that the minutemen could possibly follow you into to help with combat. That and preston is a minuteman. So he would also be fair game. Laser musket and all. But only his base gear.

Can you beat Fallout 3 at level 0? Somehow starting the game without spending any initial skill points, Special points, or choosing any perks, and never doing so. Assuming there's a way this is even possible, I have no idea how these things work.

I just had an idea for a new challenge. Can you beat Skyrim using only scrolls? As in, only attack enemies using scrolls with offensive spells. This could include summoning spells.
