Well said Nicholas. Funny how the past and pure way of doing things continually humble us. Less is more. Simple and honest, pure.

Yeah, it's so true @jonnoarmo. Thanks for the comment.

"Other than not screwing it up." Really good point. "trying to be clover" made me think about Fight Club. "Clever. How's that working out for you?"
I really really love what you brought up in this. "I didn't even know that was the goal." It's exciting to think about the other ways we can use a camera. I feel so many parallels with what I'm interested in lately. I just want to shoot stuff that connects and that tells stories. Not "amazing" photos, but ones that make others want to talk about it also.
BTW, I've never seen the drone's display before. I've seen a million Casey Neistat videos showing a drone sweep, but this was the first time I ever saw the mechanics of it. That was cool.
And holy cats that R5 makes such a sound when the shutter clicks. Wow.

You seriously have a voice that could put Xanax to sleep. Not an insult - it’s just calming.

Super happy this video showed up on my feed! A wonderful sentiment and insight to your thought process with what you see with your camera! Cheers!

You know, I've been falling back into this too. Going out and shooting, doesn't matter what it is. Doesn't have to be perfect, doesn't have to be beautiful. It's so rewarding. These photos look excellent btw. Great message throughout.

Always enjoy your videos. I'm sure we'll run into each other in the bosque some day, I'm out there all the time riding my bike and taking crappy photos. After seeing your drone video I picked one up and you were right - it's like starting over again and rethinking everything. I subscribed to your drone channel, excited to see what you do there.

Oh nice @SteveTalksBooks! I regret some of my recent photography purchases, but not the drone. I continue having a blast with that thing. Way more than I ever expected. Hope you're having a similar experience. I ride a bike occasionally, but not often enough. Crappy photos in the bosque though, that's like my entire life! Just noticed that you have a book channel, and subscribed, and forwarded your channel info on to the wife.

Superb video!!! Those are my kind of photos! Maybe you could put shutter speed & F stop on photo along with Camera & lens info??? For decades I've been complaining that digital cameras-even the best DSLR's just can't capture images like even old throwaway 35mm cameras. The colours just wernt the same & digital images just never looked as good. However the current crop of mirrorless cameras have got really close. I Recently bought the Nikon Z8 & some Z S lenses & its made me fall in love with photography again, the images are mega IMO and very close to old 35mm film images.
