- Katherine wanted me to record this song for her and her being the absolute love of my life I was happy to oblige. I had a picture up of her on my laptop while recording this video. Hope you like it Katherine! :)
Surprisingly, I've never recorded a Billy Joel song before? Seems like a pretty glaring omission from my repertoire. Especially being such a big fan of his British superior Elton John (that was a joke that was a joke that was a joke that was a joke)
Anyway this is a beautiful song -- and one that was also surprisingly covered by two of my favorite singers Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., who did interesting big band sort of arrangements of the song that you can see here on RUclips.
Anyway, enjoy :)
Note: two things in the pipeline -- a video discussing whats happened with my voice the last couple of months, and then a video telling you whatever I find out from my visit with a very renowned singing voice specialist after I see them on the 18th, good news or bad. Wish me luck.
