Agreed, having used both mics for so many years I can tell you that they sound just like the real thing and by adding the filter to enhance the character it takes it a step further
Definitely interested in these mics but curious why the modeling couldn't be applied to recordings with non-UAD mics. Granted of course it wouldn't work as well but I assume they're just using convolution to model the mic profile so how does the plug-in even know when you put it on an audio recording that it was recorded with a UA mic? Like if for example you recorded with the mic and then bounced that audio to a new track would it all of the sudden be unable to be used with hemisphere? I'd love to go back to some older recordings and be able to try out these emulations some how.
Hi, the hemisphere plugin doesn’t recognize what mic you have, you have to tell it so technically you can use it with any mic but it won’t be accurate at all since the source is not the correct one. Now, in order to use the hemisphere plugin you need to purchase a standard mic and register it so you can get a license.
Yes, the SD-7 is very focused so it can work on vocals plus it includes great microphone emulations but I would recommend using the SD-1 as it’s more designed for voice
Sorry, but this is not how I want to work with microphones - the bypassed examples to me sounded best and would always be the ones I'd start working with. I don't get it.
That’s totally fine as well, these microphones were designed to sound great from the beginning so the hemisphere software is an added bonus in case you want to give each mic a different tone.
@@theheatstudio that's exactly what modeling is. Eq curves. And added transient etc. it's digital morphing in a preset. Exactly what modeling is. They do sound good and almost accurate. Just saying it's nothing new.
Can’t believe the sound of these mics man. Game changer for real!😮
Yup!!!!! Thanks for being part of this!
Thanks for having me! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
These mics sound awesome. Most exciting dynamic mics I've seen in years, especially the kick mic!
Agreed! That kick mic is a game changer
WOW!!! That looks SICK!! Listen to that sound!! I love my SP-1s and SD-1. These will be an amazing addition to any arsenal! Ps, look at George go!
lol the one and only!!!!
the beta 52 and d6 emulation are pretty close to what my actual mics sound like on a kick similar to that.

these are sick gonna have to pick some up
Awesome!
Great 🫣 now I gotta buy these.

Super, thanks! Is it possible to use new microphone models to record a podcast or voice?

used an SD-1 on a recent session with PREXENTS #prexents
How was it?
Interesting...
Indeed

You're paying for eq presets basically. It's a gimmick
@@SoundAloneband not at all but ok

Does it work without LUNA?
Yes, you can use the software on any DAW. Remember the mics work like any other mic, the plugin is an a added bonus
Bock 187 ? 😊
That’s an amazing mic, still haven’t done a review of those mics. Will do it soon!
if only this actually made my music better
lol
