I have to emphasize that you are, by a wide margin, the best Highfleet RUclipsr around. Most others are not taking advantage of the nuanced gameplay mechanics like you are. I feel like the other videos Ive seen are just clumsy Zerg rushes in comparison. Please keep explaining what your tactics and strategies are and how you’re using in game tools to make decisions.
The lore and history of this world is so fascinating! I want to learn more! I have a lore/background video in the works but it is taking me a long time to put together.
You are Criminally Underrated! Stumbled across your channel while on the High Fleet subreddit and regret not finding your content sooner. Love the content, browsed your older videos and i am seeing a great line up for the next couple of weeks to listen to while at work. Keep up the good work, cause I'm definitely here to stay!
Thanks, I'm thrilled that people are enjoying my content. We have a long campaign ahead of us with Highfleet for sure! Hopefully people might want to see some other stuff down the road. The Battletech beta stuff is tied to a let's play I did on a forum, so it might not make a huge amount of sense on its own
Yeah, he's pretty awesome. I'm trying to get my cousin to play this game, and if he picks it up, I'll refer these videos to help him make sense of all of this lol
Im sure you have figured it out by now, but asking for reinforcements will provide your fleet with new vessels. Asking for support will give your fleet a morale boost. Cheers
You never need to apologize for showing mistakes or bad battles. Those are better opportunities for viewers to learn from than "RUclipsr does everything perfect on the first try." Plus they add some fun drama and tension .
I am really glad you are enjoying these! The whole idea of doing the series was to showcase the game to people who might have bounced off the first time they played. Good luck taking Khiva!
I don't know if anyone pointed it out already, but the quote is from Book of Isaiah. The dev is w devout Christian and has made the Bible the holy book in the setting.
You are the first, thanks for bringing it to light! I didn't realise it actually was from the bible. It's another interesting link to earth on a planet that 100% isn't the one we are on right now.
You really should’ve taken the “translation of the qoda = miracle” route. Exploiting the prophecy is fun when you’re good at picking up details in events.
Definitely love the light and nimble raids into Gerat. You're living off the land with not a lot of room for error. Only real danger is running up against something that stalls you. Are you just going to rely on garrison salvage for income or is there going to be a concentrated effort to pirate the trade ships?
Honestly my strategy heavily lies on hitting trade fleets, that why I stick with fast interceptor groups. I just haven't hit any that haven't been landed yet.
I am quite sure that volley firing is more precise than firing a single burst. Additionally you can turn your firing arc during a volley to saturate a small cone which almost guarantees a hit. I try to hover, wait for their attacks and dodge into a firing position to unload a whole mag from a good angle
Volley fire is better, but when dealing with smaller ships like this with 130mm I only need a couple of precise shots at a weak spot. I volley fire with bigger ships. I just wasn't playing super well in that combat!
10:15 So THAT's what it does! 20:28 Does fuel on settlements regenerate? How often? 22:47 A skylark visit on Ashkelon would have done the exact same, minus combat and loot, of course
Settlements actually have infinite fuel, but there is only so much your tanks can hold. You can always top up to max as long as you have the cash. And the time.
Oh boy, those repair timers were pretty harsh. I hope you can get some easier funds and maybe a bit stronger ships. Though I feel like avoiding damage is maybe better?

Awesome, thank you again. I will do my best! I'm hoping to show off using local Radar to guide missiles next.
What he said!
The lore and world of Highfleet is so mysterious and deep.
It has the makings of an excellent IP
I find it very intriguing and what there is just makes me much more immersed.
This game feels like a spin-off set at some point in the history of Dune. 10/10 mood, aesthetic and immersion
It is for sure inspired by Dune, there are even unused giant worm enemy files in the game if you go digging!
Its interesting from a lore perspective that a page from the literal bible ends up in this world.

Oooo!

Be interesting to see how you deal with nukes -- launch early or hold off as long as possible.
I have plans for my nukes, there is a specific time I would *like* to use them, we will see how long I can actually keep them in my pocket for...

Thank you for taking the time to say this!
Enjoying this series SO much, it might get me to give the game another shot!

Came here from the classic poland article 5 meme. Now 8 eps in, and loving it.
I am very glad you are enjoying it! And you made it past the first awkward couple of videos. Enjoy the ride, remember to #Believe!
Man, I´ve been binge watching this series. Truly amazin......and at 6:45. Your are one S away from getting on someones watchlist ^^
Took me a second but I think I know what you are getting at!
Love this series. Great fun rolling this play style into my current game.
Glad you enjoy it!
ZeroSum is here to server regardless if death is needed for the cause to succeed
ZeroSum is going to be a hanger queen for awhile until it is upgraded!
!! You're back! I've been waiting
More to come!
Highfleet: AKA Byzantine-Dieselpunk BibleQuest FlightSim
You missed out the warcrimes, you do a lot of accidental warcrimes.
I’m psyched for more content! Thanks
This strike on the missile carrier group will be.. tense I am sure.

I noticed due to the lower plaque, but yeah
Should have said it was a miracle. That opens up some interesting possibilities later in the game...
Haha, I like this! I need to play the miracle/prophecy angle up more!
@@Phrosphor I think you might be locked out of the path now but if you do a second campaign it can be a very fun option.

Avoiding damage is def the best option, I really should have restarted that fight.
Damn, imagine how low humanity has fallen when you realized only a few fragments of Torah, Gospel or Quran survived in this post-apocalyptic setting.
And nobody knows how to decipher them.
Maybe not talk during combat...big brain!
