I have to say Marion, I believe this to be one of your best RUclipsy vids ever, simply because you nail so many things. First up, demystifying crispy pork belly at home, showing how anyone who can roast a chicken can do this. Two, banishing boring bland roast pork dinners, and finally three - encouraging people to be resourceful, sustainable and smart by buying a big 1kilo plus piece of belly and making several exciting meals. Bravo once again..
Marion's reactions prove that she is a true foodie from her SOUL! Lol! That is genuine joy on her face everytime she finishes up one of her delectable dishes and takes that first bite. 😄😄😄 I always feel like I'm tasting it, too! 🤤
Lol, you made my day. I made up some pork belly last night. Your bahn mi one. Sitting outside the church building, I am thinking, what am I going to do with this pork belly? We are doing the noodles and pork belly. Not in the mood for bahn mi. Even though I also made the buns.
Marion you are the Australian GOAT of cooking videos on youtube….. but… the style of this video seems very similar to Joshua Weissman. They say artists copy great artists steal, but stick to your own style, be yourself 😉 that’s who we love❤️
Delicious food here, beautiful sandwiches, my friend, you’re a kitchen prepping and cooking ⭐️ truly lovely work, Marion, now let’s go shopping 🛍 together and let’s do lunch, my treat 😂
Love your channel. I am new to gourmet food. Is a pate something I can make from scratch or easily purchased from a supermarket/Asian store. Not sure what it is. TIA
My mom will love all the dishes you’ve made here( she went to heaven 54 years ago)She is a pork belly person ,not me . I only eat the crispy skin and the lean pork. I personally don’t like the fat part. Ground pork is fine but not chuck of pork fat so as my 2 grown adult kids. But it really look very delicious and a great 👩🍳
What would you say the per meal price of this comes out to for you? I agree that 'regular' meal preps look kind of sad but they're often so simple because they're made to save money as well as time
I often have a really hard time finding good buns for bahn mi where I live because the regular hotdog buns just aren't big enough so one time I went to subway and asked for just a couple of empty buns and they charged me as if it was a full sub XD
It's hard to find the right bun for banh mi unless you live near a huge Vietnamese population...I wouldn't use the one she used as it's too fleshy and doesn't look crunchy. Find a good French baguette and if it's not already crunchy on the outside, toast it. Then slice into it and if it's got too much bread on the inside, hollow it out a bit before you assemble the banh mi.
The grocery store near me sells part baked baguettes, you have to finish baking in your own oven. I find that, they have a really thin crispy crust, just like a banh mi should have :)
@@brandon3872 That sounds perfect for a banh mi. The bread is so important in the banh mi sandwich that it can almost make or break it....oh, who am I kidding? Even not-as-good bread can make a decent banh mi if you've got the perfect fillings. 😜
Sorry no offense meant whatsoever but these video`s have gone to lack one VERY very important ingredient, MAMA NOI !!!!! There`s just no constant laughter without her presence. I never stop having a big grin on my face while watching her . She is so entertaining.

I love this channel. I just found it. I have bought your food before, the cookbook and now this!!! Wow!!!!
Pork belly...mmmm!!! I love the way you meal prep, Marion!
I’ve never used pork belly but it looks delicious, I want to cook some. Thanks for the delicious recipes.
You are so welcome!
I spot the problem. It's gone wrong when you have left over belly pork.
Agreed! Not gonna lie, I nearly cried watching that gorgeous slab of crispy crackling & juicy meat get chopped up into bits like that!
Thank you beautiful! can't wait to make them!
I use one of those 48 bladed meat tenderizers for pricking pork skins, takes some effort to get 100% coverage but oh so worth it.
Glad you enjoy them! -Team Marion's Kitchen
Love, love this scrumptious pork belly.lt reminds me of my dad
Going to do this like right now! Hello from Mauritius Island! 🇲🇺

I find you can also get really good crispy skin by rubbing a cut lemon or brushing with some white vinegar on the skin prior to cooking 👍
Gosh, Marion, that looks so good! - Drools! - 💕💕💕

I could eat Vietnamese pork rolls (Banh Mi) every day.
So cute!!!
What's the best way to store the pork belly and reheat it?

Love this series! More tasty meal prepping please 😊 Btw, where can you find the pate in Australia?
Marion... How does the Pork freeze to use at a later time? Thanks, Marty

French baguettes are more authentic.
Mexican grocery stores sometimes also have bakries . They sell rolls called pan bolillo
Its a good substitute
I only read the title and I'm already hungry.
As it should 😂 You need to try them once! -Team Marion's Kitchen
Hi Marion, do you have a link for the mortar and pestle with the wooden base?
Not yet but it's one of my new products that I've spent time creating this past year. I'll be releasing it soon! :-)
Can we try this recipe with chicken??
Absolutely, you can try them with any meat of your choices! -Team Marion's Kitchen
@@Marionskitchen ❤️❤️
What could I add instead of the tofu and the water chestnuts to the hot & sour soup? Or could I just leave them out? Thanks! 😊
They're not water chestnuts they're bamboo shoots -- totally different texture. If you have never tried them I recommend trying
You could leave them out and they will be no effect on taste anyway ☺️ -Team Marion's Kitchen

We use the crusty white long bread rolls, sliced lengthways for this recipe 🤗 Let us know when you try this out -Team Marion's Kitchen

What you cook is very basic and simple with no creativity.
