Some interesting pubs there. I would have loved to have seen you complete them all in one day. You certainly like your cider. If you have only lived in Scotland for four years where were you before this? Judging by the accent it definitely wasn't Somerset.
@@terrifictraveltales I think you had mentioned your German heritage before but your Scottish accent is pretty authentic for only 4 years.! Loved the video btw.
@@terrifictraveltales You wouldn't. Only a chef like me would. 😁 But to be fair there is a cocaine epidemic in most kitchens these days...Think COVID and furlough payments helped the cause.😅
@@terrifictraveltales yeah it can be busy especially when Celtic game is on and at weekends but fab atmosphere and a really good diverse range of music. Hope you enjoy 🙂
Let me tell you another angle. Look for the best pint of Guinness in Glasgow. It will take you to different places the Laurieston for example and M J Heragerty. Also the Tolbooth.
@@terrifictraveltales I watched your videos not so sure about that small island across form Oban. I did Staffa and would highly reccomend that one. You must be getting male fans on here a good looking Scottish lassie 😃
@@terrifictraveltales I live in Stranraer... Go to the chasers pub, the commercial inn, the golden Cross, the pub(actual name and quality food), the bridge and the arkhouse 👌💯🍺🍺
Well I appreciate these videos but I'm ambivalent at best. It seems strange to go to a pub and not order an indigenous drink. Why no Scottish cask conditioned ale or a whisky? While most of these pubs have original historic interiors ultimately the atmosphere comes from the customers and bar staff so if you buy drinks and sit in the corner by yourselves you won't experience much of the atmosphere. Btw if you have been in Scotland 4 years and have not done a pub crawl in these bars before you are definitely not "locals"..
Sadly you have no idea of Glasgow pubs! The Bon Accord and the PotStill are both specialist whisky pubs which you never mentioned. You seem to base your assessment on cider which the majority of Scots don’t drink and I’m a Scottish man living in Devon who loves cider. Yet another shallow attempt at fame!

The Laurieston and The Old Toll Bar are consistently my favourites (and for many others) for different reasons.
Haven't been to either of them - will need to give them a try😊
Great for Guinness 😎
Will definitely need to visit then!😄😊
The Griffin was bought by the owner of Isle of Skye brewery - prices pretty high for cask considering they make it themselves!
Yea, I suppose they get away with these prices
My wee mum isobel worked in the bar and my granny worked upstairs in the kitchen in the horseshoe bar.
Oh cool😊 It must've been an interesting place to work with so many stories to tell
No mention of The Clutha's history that is a fascinating and historic fact people might like to know about.
Yes, could have included some of its history. Thanks for your feedback 😊
Yeh as sad story missed out, no part of its history.
Thanks for the feedback
I've been in six of those pubs over the years but not recently. Great video btw. 🙏👍.
Thank you😊do you have a favourite?
@@terrifictraveltales I would say the Clutha for great live music and atmosphere, there's videos on RUclips.
The Scotia is great too.
Yea, we really like the Clutha and Scotia. We'd only been to the Clutha before our pub crawl, but the Scotia could become one of our favourites😊

Yea, we're both lightweights 😄
You're right-I'm originally from Germany

Aw thank you! It's probably because my mum is Scottish - I can't take all the credit😀
@@terrifictraveltales I thought you were a hghland lassie.
No, not really 😄
Good old waxy's where the chefs love a wee patsy or 5 during the shift. 😉
Didn't know that😲 Thanks for watching😊

I’m in great pain. I paid £20 in edinburgh this weekend for a double whisky (Herroch) and a half pint of Guinness
That is heartbreaking 💔
Some good choices. Strip Joint in Finnieston is cracking and has vinyl for sale in the bar too. McChuills up theTrongate brill for decent music
Another two to add to our list! We walk by McChuills quite often, but it's always been mobbed. Will need to visit the next time we're in the area😊

@@ianmcilwraith4479 Thank you, I'm sure we will🙂
I would never have guessed Germany! Do they have cider there?
Yea, but it's mostly imported and sweet cider...might explain why I like cider so much😄
Al classic pubs but you missed The State between The Griffin and The Pot Still!
Good shout! We'll need to visit the State at our next pub crawl 😊
If you can get served and a few quid @@terrifictraveltales

Went to a bar in Stranraer years ago and they didn’t understand about cider…it’s quite hard to get the drink right in the tourist areas.
Yea, it's quite difficult in the tourist areas! We were actually thinking about visiting Stranraer-so any recommendations are very welcome😄

No idea what the comment about the cider is aw about? Can get plenty of it at any pub down here 🤷♂️🤔💯💯💯
Thank you! We've added them to our to-go list for Stranraer 😊
Hi TTT, what is closest pub to OVO Hydro? Thanks.
Hey, the Ben Nevis pub is the closest one😊
@@terrifictraveltales 👍
Love your videos
Aww thank you, glad you're enjoying them😊
Dae a pub crawl on maryhill rd.
Could be another pub crawl video 😃
Give hootenanny a visit
Good shout-we've been meaning to visit, but forgot about it (so many pubs to choose from😀)
Every one of them empty 😳
Yea, we tried to get in as the first ones because we didn't want to disturb other people in the pubs😊
Ah Widnea worry about that hen. They are all pretty disturbed already.😎

Waxy O'conners is a confection by bar designers cleverly done to look old fashioned. And you are right Sloans is pretty much a rip off.
They've done pretty well to make Waxy O'connor's look old-fashioned.
