      Spiritual expression is deeply personal and looks/feels different for everyone. Starting with the body (yoga, meditation, reflection, etc.), people can begin to open the door to a clearer mind. 1:42:17 seems really judgmental which is sad.

      @traumaprotector Год назад +6

      But the interview is in such a great flow ! I enjoy this casual conversations slash big universal truths unfolding type video so much, it feels so warm, fun and deeply insightful, even though she doesn't expand on her answers and unpack everything, which you might want from her educational step by step videos on youtube. In this video her way of expressing her ideas is so different and fresh and calm, which I personally prefer over her videos, which make you feel like you're reading a science textbook or a wikipedia page (no offense to teal! its just funny). The way that these beautiful interviewers staged and prepared this kind of an interview for teal to talk in, makes her insights feel so interesting and moving, and makes you want to sit with them and feel the magic in them, instead of explaining everything in a video from a logical point of view. In this interview she makes you feel a deep level of patient curiosity and deep resonance of unpacking life in a graceful, playful, and warm but deeply insightful way, instead of a hunger to learn why something is the way it is, like that of an intellectual scientist, if that makes sense. Scientists are cool but so damn boring and rigidly intellectual! lol. This interview feels like reading the alchemist.. so story like, magical, but spreading your consciousness nonetheless.

      In terms of spirituality I've always thought we broke away from how the world defines everything in such a black and white way, and it feels that what's been done regarding gender in this conversation. I completely disagree that just because you were born male it means you must master the masculine and vise versa. An argument from this stance completely invalidates the existence and purpose of the LGBTQ+ community. In every aspect of nature we can witness a wide amount of variation and it truly puzzles me that human beings like this come to such rigid definitions and conclusions for humans. For simplicity sake I assume. We all exist for a different purpose and it's very sad that we cannot learn to celebrate our differences...

      Maybe you don’t like her and that is okay. But this word now is just thrown as an insult or to demean someone/something even when it doesn’t fit at all in the definition. Don’t do that, I’m sure you’re smarter than just copy pasting what others say and not even questioning if it makes sense at all.

    I said this before. Several years ago, when I went to MT school, one of my instructors told us that her boyfriend was a Buddhist monk for 12 years, and all of a sudden one day, he quit and went to the USA. He said he got tired of Buddhism because the monks were a bunch of hypocrites. He started to become interested in Christianity after that. On another thread: If you want to have kids, why do you then leave them for someone else to take care of? Don't have kids. They need you, and want you above everyone else, and they will feel unwanted and unimportant if your career always comes first. Don't fool yourself, they will feel it. And they internalize that and will resent you, even if subconsciously, if they know you had the opportunity to raise them and you chose your career instead. I never felt my career was more important. My first responsibility was my children. I loved being a full-time mother, but actually, we live in a society in the west where women who stay at home and raise their own children are not supported nor valued, and nothing they do is considered relevant as a contribution toward society - and I believe that attitude is totally wrong. Full-time mothers work 24/7 and don't get paid nor do they get promoted. Other people tend to think you have no ambition or no education if you choose to prioritize your children and your domestic life. I am good at a lot of things, I have a degree, I worked outside the home for many years in a variety of projects, I volunteered for many important causes, without getting paid, without accolades, but the most important and the most difficult job I had to contend with was being a mother in this career obsessed society. Now my kids are adults. I don't regret a single moment I spent with them, in fact, I wish I had had more time with them, because there were periods when I had to work and was not fully available. And finally, I realize one thing: the older I get, the more I realize that the more I know, the less I know.

If there were a way to drop a message to Teal I would say Please create a round table of some damaged Millennials and damaged boomers who were lied to about Vietnam, witnessed their peers shot on campuses by our own military, about Iraqi, Waco, 911 etc etc...the list goes on and on...about being used and lied to by our institutions in so many ways...time for seeing each others pain and common ground and empathy for each other, we have all been deeply abused and betrayed. I keep coming across so many comments about her defensiveness and people deeming it as dangerous, or narcissistic, or that she has to be right and in this status or that she shouldn't be a teacher, but it was actually one of the reasons I love Teal because she is AUTHENTIC, showing she is human. Any time I see backlash about her, I can see how these people are rejecting their own shadow. Teal, my Dear, you are absolutely not a narcissist. As someone who has lived through narcissistic abuse, I know it when I see it and you are not that. What you are is confident. And that has been earned. And I think most of us recognize that.

Always opens my mind, makes me learn something new about myself, and I wish this was everyone’s experience around Teal. So many aren’t ready to face their own soul and their own triggers, but I hope they get there eventually. There’s so much value in this although it can be scary. Thank you for your deep passion, empathy, honesty & deep transparency, Teal. And thank you guys for your beautiful souls also, and your openness and for bringing her on. Much love to you.

    Hahaha 😆 - in regards to the “woke” millenials / gen z-ers I feel like I lucked out!!! I was raised super Christian religious, I lived my entire life for my parents, was absolutely freaking miserable, and that was my fall from grace…
    When I realized I was living my entire life for a heaven later, a heaven that was making me miserable in this life, here and now, I gave up on heaven later and focused on trying to create it now.
    I think this ended up saving me in a lot of ways from living a life that wasn’t even mine and always chasing happiness as if it’s an outside entity… Instead I find ways of being happy with what I have now, look at what is most accessible from where I am currently then use that to make things a little better, bit by bit. 🙂

    OMG❤ Teal is so right about forgiveness. I never forgave my mom, until i understood what she has really been through. And i felt it so natural. I felt a peace i never felt when i said i forgave her❤ now i truly feel i forgive her for , me thinking she never accepted me how i am, she was afraid of who i am, she was afraid because i had the courage to do things she always wanted to do. Like Teal mentioned, she saw me as that expansion she was afraid of. I so get her now!

    Teal is the best!! Love the questions!! But also felt the resistance when Teal was talking about the spiritual world and the shadow aspect in ourselves that we need to dive in…it’s not a good feeling but it is a MUST! We cannot bypass our shadows by positive thoughts and light and all that! That’s only a bandage. I can see how blind and resistant we are with the shadow aspect. It’s like expecting to pass a test of Algebra with meditation and beauty and incense and happy thoughts. But I also understand that is good to surround ourselves with beauty, but not to “cure” our pains and traumas. 😅 LOVE LOVE the podcast!!!! Well done! 👍 ❤
