Never never never watch Akis' videos before dinner!! Darn I haven't learn this yet!! Now, I opened your video, my mouth is watering, I have nothing to recreate this beauty at home, and our favorite Greek restaurant is closed!!! And I am hungry too! Guess we'll stick to tomatoes, cucumbers and feta cheese for tonight... that's the only Greek I can handle in my fridge at the moment... yeah, maybe I could add the olives.. there you go!

Hi Akis thank you so much for making this Greek Cypriot dish. It’s a pleasure to see. 1 think I’d like to add and I’m sure you know and there’s a reason u didn’t do it but we never make sheftalies without diced onion in the stuffing but anyway I’ll try your recipe and I’m sure it’s amazing. Please please please try to also make one more Cypriot classic dish “Affelia” pork belly in red wine, coriander seed, bay leaves etc it’s really an amazing dish and not common in Greece. Thank you so much brother!

Actually sheftali means peach a Turkish word and this dish is named after it by the Turkish Cypriots that created the dish , originally it is lamb n beef with onions parsley salt n pepper mixed and marinated for a bit before it’s warped in caul lamb fat , the pork used is the Greek Cypriot version

champion65 65 actually I was referring to the fact that Ali’s makes Greek dishes and I mentioned Greek Cypriots but in all honesty I should say Cypriots as the people there were more integrated that the Greeks and Turks in mainland Turkey. A lot of dishes and words, language, culture is more integrated between the Greeks and Turks in Cyprus than anywhere on the planet even studies suggest that the people is Cyprus both Turkish & Greek have identical DNA so to show honor to this I will rephrase and say “Cypriot” dish
