I came across this video when I came home one day becasue I heard the Dylan classic on the radio and I had to look him up and there you were, singing at his 75 th birthday. Let's be realistic. I saw them during the Bebe la strange tour in 1980. Awesome show. However she has matured over time. Yes she still has an incredible voice, but she has better control. She has some limitations and has been able to sing around them. I honestly believe she has much better control and can sing naturally better than most female singers to this day. I'm sorry I missed the Mesa AZ show. I find her more entertaining now. Please go look at crazy on you , just the Ann Wilson remake. Definitely a favorite.
To me, she does sound like her voice has aged. It used to be so smooooth. Now, she’s got a raspy sound to it. This is a great, great song, very ‘important’ in music. Muddy Waters sang about a rollin’ stone first, then The Rolling Stones came along and named themselves after the Muddy Waters song. Then Bob Dylan with this great old song. It’s ageless. I haven’t read most of these comments, but anyone ragging on her for gaining weight-shut up. You’ll age too. You’ll see. Like most of Dylan’s songs, this one has proven almost impossible to cover live. Most performers get caught up in the reaction of the audience to the refrain, but this isn’t a sing along over a catchy refrain. And for goodness sake’s it can’t be screamed. It’s a “No” for me, Ann.
