The beauty is her legacy. Well, the beauty and the style in those clothes oh my oh my. But clothes don’t give you style-and they’re part of it, but style is an overall entity but self that one carries or not. Love Grace Kelly, only rivaled by Audrey Hepburn back then in terms of beauty and elegance. Grace was a top-notch classic beauty. Audrey was an edgier beauty that combines unusual features that would have been out of place in others' faces but work really well altogether. Two lovely, incomparable women that actresses today could only aspire for.
She wasn't the best actress, she won the Oscar which many believed Judy deserved better and is still considered one of the biggest upsets in the award ceremony's history. But she did her best work with Hitchcock. She was untouchable in Rear Window. She's the best Hitchcock heroine. Just gold.
While I didn’t think Judy did her best work in A Star Is Born, she deserved to win Best Actress for the sheer load she had to carry for the entire movie, and for her magnificent singing and dancing. Grace was badly miscast as a drab, downtrodden and long-suffering wife of an alcoholic actor in The Country Girl. Her performance wasn’t terrible, but it was wan and stilted. Considering that she would soon ditch acting for Monaco, Hollywood’s attempt to incentivize her to stay with the Oscar was hasty and misguided. But as the epitome of Hitchcock’s archetype heroines with an icy blonde exterior hiding a volcano inside, Grace was pure gold, as you said. In To Catch A Thief, the scene where she, impossibly beautiful, elegantly gowned, and serenely composed, suddenly turned back at the door to her hotel room to passionately kiss Cary Grant on the lips sealed her status as the icy blonde to end all icy blondes.

It seemed a folly to me - that she would give up her career that was leading her closer and closer to acting greatness. However, watching this documentary I now see that she was restlessly creative. She always wanted, as someone stated, to be "better" and "more." She wanted challenges, and this was one of those testing moments that defined her ambition to always be rising to the occasion. I think she sensed that, as an international, empowered celebrity, she could be useful to more people with the resources that position would afford her.

@Gatto Di Ossa Audrey had an elegant dancer's body; GK not so much. Both have no equals among today's wannabees and thinktheyares
@@elisabethtimmons5904 You're blind if you think Grace Kelly did not have an elegant figure. She was slender, long-limbed and graceful.
She definitely got around. Something cold and unlikeable about her
How can anyone not click on that stunning thumbnail!

If I ever watch anything with Grace Kelly I have to go back and watch bits repeatedly because I’m so caught up in her beauty, the beautiful costuming, the decor of the sets- I keep forgetting to actually watch and listen to what is going on 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😂
Natural Beauty that doesn’t happen nowadays
Stunningly beautiful lady
my favorite old movie, if i had to pick one, is REAR WINDOW grace kelly & james stewart 1954. & i adore thelma ritter in anything. i have the dvd & its always a hit whenever friends come over for an old movie/popcorn night. i live in a high rise, 18th flr, & we're always making up stories about the neighbors we catch glimpses of thru the windows. lol.
Thelma Ritter was great in Pillow Talk with Doris.Day and Rock Hudson.....

The American or Hollywood princess. She was the most beautiful woman in Hollywood history as far as I'm concerned. Every time I see her move into frame for the first time in Rear Window, I totally gasp. Her face literally takes my breath away.
The fact that she was born 2.5 hours from where I live is so amazing!!
She was born 2.5 hours away from literally millions. You are not important!
@@ingriddubbel8468 Yes she's important - just like you are important! Which doesn't have any thing to do with Grace Kelly.
@@ingriddubbel8468 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂You are too funny😂I live 2hours 22mins hours from where she was born, but who cares🤣😂🤣😂🤣Lots of people live in Philadelphia, where she was born, so they even closer🤣
She was a truly American princess💕
When women were natural beauties ❤️
Actually Cary Grant once said (in one of his Conversations with Cary shows, at the end of his career) that Grace was the most beautiful actress in Hollywood and that she wore virtually No makeup - a young woman in the crowd said she was a very big Ingrid Bergman fan and asked Cary what he thought of Ingrid - and Cary said "Ingrid was marvelous .... But Grace Kelly was the most beautiful"
I’m truly saddened and touch by this wonderful lady. Such a tragic way to die and the loss of one of the children too. I can’t imagine the sorrow. God bless
The 17 year daughter lived thru car accident.
@@lynneng25 She did but seemed a very disturbed young woman. The accident would have caused great trauma but she was rebellious.
There’s also the rumour that her daughter was driving

Grace Kelly, a beautiful woman, a class act.....the Hollywood Princess!
Remember the day she died. Her State Funeral when all the casinos closed. The people of Monaco loved her.
cyntha harrell l remember the day she died and the press and the press tried to blame Stephanie, it came out later that Grace had her first Brain Hemorrage
and Stephanie had to grab the wheel from the passenger seat,
that's an awful memory for Stephanie to carry
My God she was beautiful, both inside and outside!
Nude
Oh yes they are very real believe me.
We love loving her !!!! A real princess !!!
It is amazing to see interviews with her family and people who knew her.
Class & elegance. Miss it
Gosh, She was Beautiful.
The American dynasties love their stories especially Irish American one
Grace mother had... German roots !! From Prussia !!
I went on a exposition of her stuff and she was the absolutely perfect until her writing letter was beautiful like her, also I read over there that she had bring happiness to that palace. She was absolutely beautiful and a great person. I got mesmerized inside of her world in that museum.
Being that royalty is a shared fiction that many people accept to be true, I would argue that Grace Kelly continued her make believe story for the rest of her life.
This! So true.
I love Grace Kelly she was such a great role model. Perfect! And lovely!!!
Few women can compare with her beauty.
Beautiful documentary. Thank you.
The most beautiful royal ever
It is such a shame that classy and elegant American women like Grace Kelly do not exist at all today.
The Hispanic woman said it all!!! She understood Grace Kelly’s acting and determination/ Working ethics.
The most GORGEOUS, stunning, CLASSY natural BEAUTY in history..😍
Truly a graceful woman
Grace was beautiful, elegant, & so regal.
I'm watching videos of actresses from the 40's, 50's and how everyone looked so elegant and beautiful 😍 I keep wishing I was born in that era but then I think I'm colored so life wouldn't have been so funn for me 😂😂
You know, if you are interested, there are very classical and classy women been in Royalty since 1600-1700 to this day . Who had all the power that one woman could only dream of. Because of their intelligence, not just because of their beauty, they really "earnned" their places. You can find by google them. I could send you a link. If you are interested, ofcourse.:). Forgive me my english. Im from North Europa.
Ladies of color from that time were still classy and beautiful as well.
Lol!! So true , same here 😁
I also longed for a different time and place, but now, I realize, God doesn’t make mistakes!
I’m very thankful!!!
You are the elegant and beautiful woman now. I admire strong women of color--there is something very special about them.
You already are and can be even more of a woman that other women, girls need to have look up too.
There are people who were born tô be special, Grace Kelly was one of them. She was really special. It Will passes many years when we Will hear again about só a wonderful woman.
RIP Grace Kelly
i remember being very sad that were were losing one of my favorite actresses and movie stars to a small country with which I had no emotional attachment.
A flawless beauty, in every way-I remember exactly where I was when the news broke that she had died. So young, so unspeakably sad.
What a beautiful and classy woman!💝💝
Tkanki you so very much for this so well done documentary! Worthwhile to such a beauty and personality as it was Grace Kelly - forever Princess!
Thank you for this video! I always admired her. She was such a beautiful and kind person. 🥰❤
Princess Grace a true beauty to our world.
