Sebi, you produce the BEST guide videos regarding Santorini! I wish I had found your videos before my recent visit to Santorini. I was in Oia and Fira in late June 2024, as part of my cruise holiday in the Mediterranean. Both places were so overcrowded that I could barely walk along those paths, let alone find the Instagram photo spots! No worries, I will return to Santorini in the future and I will find those Instagram spots, thanks to your videos.
The initial impression that i had on Santorini as "overcrowded & too touristic" has changed my mind after your videos! I watched all of your awesome video guides n decided to give it a go! just checking if there s any fruit farms across Santorini, we planned to come on end of Apr nxt yr.
Thx for the kind words ! In April there wont be any local Santorini fruits being sold on the street since they only ripen in June-July. But supermarkets will have plenty of fruits imported from the Greek mainland and Crete.
Love your videos! They are so helpful and to the point. Exactly what I was looking for! I am only coming through on a cruise in June but scoping out the area for a longer stay in the future. I subscribed to the channel and will be watching. Your accent is adorable too...;)
Your videos are so informative! Thank you for all the videos. I am visiting Santorini in May and will be there on 1st May. I am worried to know if the restaurants and cruise will be observing holiday on labour day. Please let me know 🙏🏼
Hi Sebastian, we are heading to 3 of the islands this coming October (Santorini, Milos & Naxos) - Can you tell me if we need to book our hotel stays around the ferry crossings? We are hoping not as that would be quite problematic, but at the moment it seems difficult to tell if the ferries go each and every day and also we have heard of possible cancellations. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much - love the videos!
Hello Santorini explained. Your video is very necessary for us.. could you tell me in july, can we swim at the beach? The sea is hot? Thanks for your answer
Great video, thanks for all the valuable information you share! We’ll be in Santorini this July end, so excited! I read that July-August could get very windy because of the Northern winds. We really want to do a self-sailing boat trip, do you think that is unsafe because of the winds?
It all depends where you are ! On the South coast (Red Beach, White Beach etc) it's usually flat like a lake because the island is blocking the north winds. But as soon as you go around the lighthouse of Akrotiri and head to the volcano, it can get much choppier ... Try to pick a day where the north wind is 3-4 beauforts MAX, not 5+
Loving your videos (!) as we’re planning for a trip to Santorini the last week of October… That time of the year will there be enough things to do to spend 7 nights in Santorini? Also, will you still be doing your tours by then? Cheers, Sebastian
Yes everything will still be open late October, even early November. Concerning my tours, you can hit me up on instagram ! @sebi_the_guide See you over there !
Hello Sebastian. I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm going to Greece in September and I would like to ask you which is the best web site to buy tours? I have not a huge budget so I would like to not spend too much in unnecesary things or get ripped off. Particularly in Santorini I would like to do the volcano tour. Thank you!
Hi, love your video. I need your opinion. I have 4 days in Santorini first and 3 days in Crete. After that I need to go back to Athens. Shall I go back to Santorini to take ferry back to Athens or take ferry from Crete to Athens. Crete To Athens seems evening ferry which I don't like. If going back to Santorini, too much moving around which I don't like either. Another option, fly from Crete to Athens. I am afraid to take small plane. What is the best option for me? Thank you!
Hi, questions again. I checked all ferry from Athens to Santorini schedule. It seems they all leaves 7:00 in the morning? If that 's the case, how early shall I get the port?
Some depart at 7am indeed, but there are other ferries also. You can find them all on www.ferryhopper.com. If you dont have a car, I recommend you arrive 1h before departure. With a car, make it 1h30.
Can you please include your contact information I can’t seem to find it anywhere on your website. I do not have an Instagram account so I can’t access your site there.
I'm heading to Athens and Santorini again soon, and I'm glad to get a refreshment course on these places from only the best. Thanks again, Seb!😊😊

Yes you can ! July to September are the best months to swim
what is the name of the small village and the "cute" village? I'm not sure how to say or spell them to look them up. :)
Pyrgos and Megalochori :-)
