We travel each year in June to Crete and this time we decided to include Santorini to our trip. I booked at Fira and my biggest concern is to know if we should come with my rental car from Crete or should we leave it there. I don't know if there is parking issue. What would you suggest..?? we also plan on visiting some places that have no bus access, like the Lolombos beach. Thanks a lot again for all your tips.

Most car rentals have a "no ferry" policy, so I dont think you'd be allowed to take your Cretan car to Santorini, but if they're fine with it, then sure ! You'd save some money since car rentals are a little cheaper in Crete. Hope this helps !

In regards to car rentals in Santorini, what type of extra insurance do you think I should get for the rental?

I would take full coverage if I were you. I believe its around 15€ per day. It's so easy to scratch your car in these narrow alleys (or get bumped into by someone else), and the cost for 1 minor damage is already around 250€, so I would just go for the 15€/ day :-)
