Welcome to today's lesson with Sukhdev Sir! Today, we’re diving into the present perfect tense in the passive voice.
First, let’s understand the structure. In the present perfect passive, we use "has been" or "have been" followed by the past participle of the main verb. For example, "The book has been read by many students."
Notice how the focus shifts from the doer to the action itself. Instead of saying, "Students have read the book," we emphasize the book and its readers. This is perfect for when the doer is unknown or less important.
Let’s look at another example. "The homework has been completed." Who completed it? We don’t know, but the focus is on the homework being done.
Remember, to form the present perfec passive, always start with "has been" or "have been," followed by the past participle.
Practice makes perfect! Try converting active sentences into the passive voice to master this concept.
