Tim Buckley and Nick Drake, two ethereal spirits who graced the music of the world with such soulful compositions of ineffable beauty and intense simplicity. Healing sounds for tortuous times beset by barbarians. Eternal gratitude.
I saw him at the Boarding House, not sure if it was this concert though it would have been around this time. What a voice, what a poet! Thanks for the post.
I LOVED the Boarding House. Did you happen to see Bob Marley and the Wailers there?? There was a guy named Maple who ran the sound booth on the second floor. Man, we got so high and just went nuts for the music. I saw Buckley in Palo Alto maybe a year or two later than this date, did you happen to catch him there? Good times!!
Many thanks for sharing this, I'm so happy to hear it...soulful, melancholic beauty eternal.. I love the timing and gentle meandering feel of this version, some divinely held notes from Tim towards the end Do you have the other songs from this concert?
@averilleX It's taken from a KPFA Radio performance of as far as I know, just 4 songs. It was never meant for airplay at that time, but it was played as a result of problems with a Taj Mahal concert they were trying to air in 1972. Not available to buy .
