Big Respect! I live a few mins from Bathhouse Row and call this city my home. As a world traveler I keep coming back here for it's beauty and wonderful people... not to forget it's quartz and diamond mine energy. Thank you.
The Sister Kenny method for treatment of polio victims did use hot baths and heat packs. Along with rehabilitation of the muscular activity. And since my dad was Paralyzed as a child do to polio and he still is walking to day because of this treatment. I think there was something to the heat in the baths that did help.
My wife and I were through Hot Springs in August. The bathhouses are beautiful. We spent the night at the historic Arlington Hotel. It had once been beautiful, but has clearly fallen upon hard times. Everyone we met was wonderfully hospitable, and the food was excellent.
Laine! Your voiceover is terrific. And the filming was excellent. No wonder people are confused that this isn’t your day job 😂. Thank you for sharing this destination. For someone who has never been that far south and west (I’m from PA) it’s a great inspiration to add to the bucket list. Beautiful!!!
Wow! I had never heard of Bathhouse Row. What beautiful buildings. And all that stunning Tiffany glass. It's so nice to see it still in its original setting. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous sights.
Proud to say I was born in Hot Springs! My daddy was a ranger with the National Park Service here! I love visiting and never miss Dryden Pottery which is not far from Bath House Row.
Every corner there is some inspiration of beauty, from the Tiffany stain glass, the mosaic tiles, the marble, the molding, etc, all celebrating architecture at it’s height of glamour.
I was there 2 years ago and I cannot wait to go back. I love how this video brought back so many great memories for me! I have friends that live near Russellville, so I plan on coming back this year 😊
Oh my goodness, Laine. This was wonderful. My late father had considered moving to Hot Springs, but chose Prescott, Arizona instead. It was such a treat to see all the details of these historic buildings. The mermaid & water nymph stained glass made me gasp.
Love these beautiful old buildings. The stained glass in the Fordyce bldg. is stunning. I'mm so grateful that these grand old buildings are in good condition and are in use.
We visited a few years ago. Enjoyed our visit. I did take a spa treatment in the bathhouse with the blue and white awnings. It included a needle shower, site bath, and cooling down. I have also been to spa treatment at the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia, when T. Jefferson use to go. Such pampering!
Wow! That was a fantastic video! Being from Vermont I never knew of the bath houses. Stunning! Loving your channel guys! I look forward to seeing you every week! ❤️
Thank you for this beautiful tour! My in-laws retired in Hot Springs Village in 1996. Our three older children grew up visiting Hot Springs twice a year and we had so much fun! Unfortunately, we lost my father-in-law in 2013. Since then our two youngest haven’t had a lot of opportunity to visit and enjoy Hot Springs the way our three older kids did. When we take my mother-in-law there now it is for very short visits. I would love it if our older children still went with us and could take the younger kids and show them everything.
I just moved to Little Rock and visited Hot Springs recently. It was a quick trip, and I didn’t get to see the inside of the bath houses. Thank you so much for making this video, it is excellent! 😊
Thank you for the tour. I never knew there was so much to do and see in Hot Springs AR. You captured the beauty of the buildings and landscapes stunningly as always.
Thank you for this "tour". The history and buildings were interesting. Actually, the buildings were beautiful with the Tiffany windows. I don't know much about Arkansas but found this fascinating.
Very interesting - what a beautiful looking town in a gorgeous setting. Never been to Arkansas - I'd be interested to know how many visitors Hot Springs enjoyed in its heyday and compared to today. I'd like to see more videos like this, when you are in the mood (& you have the time!) Thanks for sharing...
I really enjoyed the tour of the Fordyce. My one request would be to slow down the video on the details of the floor tile (so hard to fully enjoy the details when it goes by so fast.) Hope to visit that area one of these days. It does look lovely there.
That was sooo much fun! First glimpse of HS, sure would love to visit one day! Cheers and thanks so much...really nice job on “taking us along”!! 🥰❤️👏💦🧜🏻♀️🏹
Reminds me some of Titanic! One of the sister ships actually has the woodwork from her preserved in a hotel on land, so it's like walking one of the decks of the Titanic! The rooms had different design made from wood designating what the room was for, just like the stained glass windows here!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. Never having been there it was beautiful to see the gorgeous bath houses. You did a great job taping - nice and slow so we could see the many wonderful details - tile and windows. Would love to see more of these. Thanks again.
How interesting! The bath houses are gorgeous (ahh....that stained glass and tile work!!) We have a lot of mineral springs here in WV, but sadly most of the bathhouses are gone or in ruins now. One can still “take the waters” at the Greenbrier Resort but the baths are modernized. 😢
Beautiful tour! Welcome to Hot Springs! One of my ex-husband's friends bought Al Capone's house in Bonnerdale years ago. We had fun looking for things there on the property. The house had some false walls too. Not sure what became of it.
Hello Laine, Your narration of this beautiful video showing and teaching us about these wonderful hot-springs is amazing. I first thought that you the lady in Australia that does this type of thing professionally, but I didn't hear an Australian accent. We need more like this. Like you're not busy enough eh?
I have a stream behind my house. I need to pan for gold. There is gold in the area. I love the architecture and tiling. The stained glass is so beautiful.
Relatively new subscriber here. I loved your tour of Hot Springs Bathhouse Row, Laine! The architecture was gorgeous, and the Tiffany windows lovely. I noticed that the flags outdoors were at half staff, and I'm trying to recall, two years later, why that was. President Bush, perhaps? (Edit) Nope, he passed in 2018. Hmmm....
Truly beautiful! On a side note, I did find myself giggling at one point .... men retired to sun bath in the nude while the women put their corset back on and got their hair done. I have a deceased aunt who would have been sorely miffed at not partaking in the sunbathing in her birthday suit. She was quite the character.
Such a pretty place. A trip to Hot Springs was going to be our 18th anniversary weekend before Dane passed last month. I enjoyed your little tour a lot.
Thank you so much for the tour! Laine you have a very pleasant voice and it makes watching the videos such a joy. The tile floors are to die for!! I have to admit that my first thoughts after seeing the steam pods was a scene from Netflix series Ratchet. I believe nurse Ratchet tortured someone in one of those🥴 and after watching that series that’s what I think of when I see these rooms.
Looking at the tile floor in the "Ladies Entertainment Room" all I could think "If Lane had to lay That Tile piece by piece like in Janie's bathroom it might have just pushed her right over the edge of sanity!" WoW Gorgeous! That whole building is! Your Voice! If u ever get tired of manual labor, you'd have no problem getting a career going as a voice actor or book on tape reader or anything else that requires a soothing & well spoken voice! Gotta admit it would b better on your body! Just my opinion but u would b a Great Actress! 😎 Luved the tour! Thanks!

So wonderful to see that the best materials were used in the creation of these amazing buildings. Thank you for sharing this.
What a lovely video depicting the beauty and historic bath houses in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thank you for sharing.
I just love to see the history of things and that stained glass is stunning.
Totally agree with your post xx
I bet that gym smelled amazing! I love the smell of old wood gym floors!!! When i die I want to go here! Subway and encaustic tile heaven!!!!
Laine! Your voiceover is terrific. And the filming was excellent. No wonder people are confused that this isn’t your day job 😂. Thank you for sharing this destination. For someone who has never been that far south and west (I’m from PA) it’s a great inspiration to add to the bucket list. Beautiful!!!
So excited that you portrayed downtown Hot Springs, AR.... Proud to say it is my hometown!
How fun to see this! This is our current home town (10+ years) & we don't plan on leaving!
Thank you! So glad these buildings have not been replaced with new, the tile, stained glass, architecture is awe inspiring! 🇨🇦❤️
Just love hot springs. It's a great day trip from Jacksonville. We go whenever we can.
Kevin and Laine you two did an awesome job on this hot springs bathhouse documentary!! I got a mini vacation from my armchair God bless you all! 🤗
Wow! I had never heard of Bathhouse Row. What beautiful buildings. And all that stunning Tiffany glass. It's so nice to see it still in its original setting. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous sights.
Must go to hot springs ASAP! I went as a child; fond memory! I think we stayed at the Arlington and even as a child I was impressed
IDK why but these are some of my favorite videos to watch, thank you for showing us how beautiful America is.
So pleased these have been saved. I just bought property in the area.
Proud to say I was born in Hot Springs! My daddy was a ranger with the National Park Service here! I love visiting and never miss Dryden Pottery which is not far from Bath House Row.

Wow! That’s such a beautiful city. I’m adding Hot Springs to my travel list 😃!
Every corner there is some inspiration of beauty, from the Tiffany stain glass, the mosaic tiles, the marble, the molding, etc, all celebrating architecture at it’s height of glamour.
I love the comment about beauty being one of the healing arts that was offered.
Boy did they have style back in the day!!! Makes me want to visit!!!

Don’t worry- the ladies had a sunbathing deck too!
You should come to Paris AR at Christmas time and check out our beautiful courthouse and Mount Magazine. I think you would love it!!
