It was expensive, but when you consider how much something like FreeHand from Bunnings is worth, and how much you need, it's a better option if you can spring for it.
@@thelionlawn Yeh mate, I've got it but yet to use it. I gave a reply to your hose problem, Hoselink are great, I've got 2 and cant recommend them enough.
Thanks mate, definitely a lot of support for Hoselink! I'm going to have a proper look at a few this week and see how I go. Whatever I end up with, it won't be another plastic reel from the green shed. That's for sure!
Hi mate - discovered your channel and love your videos. Would you say FreeHand from Bunnings is safe for buffalo? I’ve got approx 100sqm front & back of buffalo, currently it’s in a very green & thick condition. Very happy with it. Conscious I am going into winter now. I’ve recently applier 2Spec Elevate as it’s got a high potassium count, to help strengthen the lawn come winter. Will freehand affect the greenness of the lawn? Or is it simply something u throw down to prevent weeds? Any side effects? Do u need to water it in heavily? Thanks mate!
Hi mate, thanks for your support, glad you're enjoying the videos! 👍. Freehand is fine for Buffalo, they say it's great for warm season varieties, and Buff is listed in their technical data, so will be fine. I'm not sure about the effects it would have on the green of the lawn, I wouldn't imagine it should change too much. It works by creating a barrier in the upper layer of soil to stop the weeds germinating, so shouldn't affect established plant/grass in any way. You definitely need to irrigate it once you apply it though. I looked at Freehand before I went with Barricade. To me it was more economical to go with Barricade, because I'd need 3 x 1kg bottles ($135) every 3 months, whereas with the Barricade, I use 45 - 60mm every 6 months, and got a litre for $220. But it depends on your circumstances mate, I'm by no means an expert, so take my advice as you will. But generally, Freehand on Buffalo will be totally fine, just make sure you water it in properly. Good luck 🤙
Great work and Barricade is worth every cent. For me the most important thing when spraying is Gum Boots, keeps that spray off the skin on your legs!
Great tip, thanks! Next time I'll definitely have more safety gear on!
Well done for the 300 , keep up the great work
Thanks for your support! Much appreciated 🤙
Congrats mate!
Thanks legend 🤙
Congrats on 300, thanks for that. Expensive stuff Barricade.
