Is it common for breeding female sumatran tigers to be retired to other places when they cant provide Cubs anymore? It seems a bit sad kirana has been moved on.

Kirana used to be at Chester zoo with her daughter Kasarna. Kasarna was to be paired with a male so she could have cubs. It wouldn't work is both mother and daughter were in the same enclosure whilst Kasarna was bringing up her cubs (which she had in April this year), so Kirana was moved on. But Kirana couldn't be in better hands - and she's a stunning cat.
