For those who got here and found out that 2 wires need to be connected manually (CAN-H and CAN-L), there's an article from Paul O'Brien called Carplay Upgrade for VW Touareg where he shows how to find those wires. In my case (2013 Touareg), the wires are orange/green as CAN-H and orange/brown as CAN-L. With them connected, everything works fine!

How do you set it to be in english?
Do you have to switch to Aux then hit setup? My 2012 touareg is HDD corrupted and no longer have media function. Is there any way this car play can be trigger without selecting Aux?

you can activate by following video in RUclips or insert an AMI cable to car AMI port
At 4:52 mark the aux selection is made. Button on my car is not selectable. Will connecting an AMI cable cause the aux button to be enabled?

two ways to get sound: 1. please make sure you have aux option in car media menu and select it for audio channel 2. connect mobile phone to car bluetooth as well , select bluetooth in car media menu. if still get issue, please share your order ID to our service team and get help, thanks. sales@kremersino.com

usb cable is standard part in the package. our usb cable use for wired connection - carplay/aa/mirror
