hello, i’m unable to use my internal car microphone, i’ve followed the directions but it still isn’t working. i have switch 1 set to the up position and switch 2 set to the down position, just like the directions said, but it’s not working.

Had this installed in my c63 for a while and it works great, im looking to install a subwoofer to the car though, can any of the extra wires in this kit be used as a preamp out for signal to the subwoofer to save me tapping into speaker wires?

What about the slot underneath the RNS 510? The majority of these systems don’t have any slot underneath. Where do you connect the wire in that case?

For those who got here and found out that 2 wires need to be connected manually (CAN-H and CAN-L), there's an article from Paul O'Brien called Carplay Upgrade for VW Touareg where he shows how to find those wires. In my case (2013 Touareg), the wires are orange/green as CAN-H and orange/brown as CAN-L. With them connected, everything works fine!
