I concur as a lectricon. Very workman like manor. This camper is awesome. Quality and detail without feeling like you drug a mobile home with you. Looks functional while still allowing you to utilize the outdoors since that is why you left home.
What a lovely little Travel Cabin you've created, simple, yet entirely capable of the necessities of safety, security, warmth, beds, seats, and somewhere to prepare food and cook and to take care of personal hygiene requirements. You have every reason to be proud of your wiring, as a former motorcycle mechanic and electrician, I recognise good wiring when I (rarely) see it, and you've carried out a beautiful installation. Your Travel Cabin is light, airy and elegantly simple and simply elegant! Edited for typo.
We all have different needs, you built it for your needs, and it works for you, that's all that counts. Very clean build which exemplifies your workmanship.
The only thing I have to say is, thank you for making this video, I also have an F-150, & would love a camper like this, so I don't have to modify the suspension, very well done, I love the power box, most people would just through the wires in there & think that's good enough, this gives me the inspiration to start my own project camper, thank you.....
Clean wiring. And good clean build. Im a builder and I can see you did your homework on this project, nice to see the pride and passion. Im about to start my build. Thanks for all your effort and information.
Awesome Quinton I know at some point it got to frustrating but that beauty of diy projects figuring it out on your it was you sharing your journey with this great build with us
In my industry your electrical work falls under what we call "workmanship standards", also pride in what you build. Yes Sir, your electrical work is indeed something you should be proud to show off, it looks great! Fantastic series and to see the final product is awesome. Someday you will have lessons learned what you would have done different so please share those when you have a few thousand camping trips under your belt lol! Looks great, enjoy your success!
Your camper works for what you and it’s functional. It’s also very sturdy. I am looking forward to hearing more of what you have to add to your comments I like the size of the bed. Obviously the cooler works very well.👍
With your mannerisms and how your eyes "lock" onto the camera, you strike me as former military. This is outstanding and now I want one too. Time to start building.
I’ve watched this two or three times already. I love it. Clean wiring.. You need a little harbor freight flag pole to deploy and have a Midsouth outdoor life flag.
That is such a cool weekend camper. Love the fact you can take your camper and your boat out at the same time. Looks like you did a great job. You should put a Camping and fishing with Lucile logo on there!
Thanks for your camper build It's been a great help to me...I have a Ridgeline, my son, a Ford. Your dimensions helped me to design for both. The whole "step" with power was very helpful and smart. Editorial comment.. I'd rather hear "...ignorant," uninformed, rather then "...stupid," possessed of low intelligence. You do not possess low intelligence, and you gained knowledge through the process. You are wise in changing your design to meet your purpose. Enjoy the journey. John
Nice and clean , you built what you needed and wanted , can't go wrong with that , as far as construction you will find out over time lol I'm sure you will enjoy it and good luck
YOU are 100% inspirational. I wish I could build something like this camper. Now understanding this is a slide in model, how much more work would it take to use the space on the drivers side rear of wheel well to install a cassette toilet/shower combo? Great video, thanks again.
I love your build- simple, practical, sturdy! I’m hoping to get a topper built for my old truck with a similar style as yours, including the a/c and electrical. Thank you so much for posting.
Idiots would call you an idiot for starting like you did. But real men and real people know that it’s and adventure and learning experience. Only idiots don’t try. You are awesome and it looks great. Just wish I could get past the nay sayers. I will, just matter of time. My plan is to first buy a used slide in and modify it.
Really nice man! I have never been interested in a truck camper until now. Really cool, simplistic but will absolutely make fishing trips more enjoyable being able to get a good nights rest without the hassle of hauling a full size camper.
Looks good to me ! Everything except a backup generator for when the power goes out. Great Job and that wiring looks exceptional !!! You better get fishing.
Awesome job on the camper! I also like the look of a neat electrical panel. Very professional! I would have put a bathroom in but that’s my preference. I’ve been trying to sell our truck camper because it doesn’t have a shower. We need to be completely self sufficient during this coronavirus bullshit. Maybe I could just add one? Remodel a truck camper?
Great Job! This video is the first I've seen of yours. I intend to find your previous vids & watch them before I ask questions or comment on anything. I feel your pride and I see why. I have subscribed and intend to keep up with your work and your joy. Keep doing what you do. Simply Beautiful! God bless and keep you and yours.
Great build !! I have a 2019 Tundra CrewMax with that 5.5 foot bed. No options for decent slide in a campers. Your build videos are just what I needed to plan my own build !! You have gained a sub, and I will follow you in your outdoor adventures !!
I Truly Enjoyed The Video series, I am Interested in making one that seats 4 and sleeps 4 and is able to be be hauled by a 1500 truck that says not for slide n campers and done very cheap. Your series helps me understand the needs plus you were very thorough Thank You
Like it alot, you did a really nice job. Just subscribed to check out the build. I'm rebuilding a older cabover camper with aluminum frame and you already got my attention with rivets vs. screws. That decision has been holding up progress considerably.
Everything looks clean and tight on it personally I think you did a great job on the project. Good job buddy I'm about to start my own project and I can only hope and pray it turns out half as good as yours did!!
I know nothing about energy but I do understand and appreciate your clean power panel. You should be proud. What are the dimensions of the bed area versus the rest of the unit?
I think it's perfect in fact I'd love to back up to a right now and hook it onto my truck it definitely looks like it'll Outlast a manufactured throw together camper good job
Love the camper and the video! Both are very well done 👍 the only thing I would have done slightly different is the floating table. I would have made it mountable outside to facilitate outdoor cooking. That being said I’m more of an overlander style camper and I don’t care for campgrounds with picnic tables and the extra amenities.
I’ve really been wanting to build one and this just gave me the motivation I need I’m going to build mine a bit bigger, thank you for your inspiration and awesome job on this build
Freyr . . . . Did you get a camper built ? Would love to see what you came up with. I've got to buy a long bed truck cause I want a wet bath for sure. Just found this build , it's the way to go with a nice camper costing $60 K and more !
Watched this one first, think you did an awesome job. My only thought would be to possibly add solar for boondocking. Will definitely be watching the rest to see how you did all this. Thanks for a great video!
As far as it being small...I want to build one for myself for those just me trips. Similar, but no over cab. Also, set up with just solar, and possibly charging from the truck also. Ac would be the biggest thing to figure out. This would not go to campgrounds. Love your quality build and your respectable presentation!
Awesome build!! I am designing one myself to build and yours gave me a lot of great ideas. I really like the material you used. I think honestly the only thing I'm going to do differently is going to be the roof. I plan on using a pop up style roof to make it have a lower profile while on the truck.
Overall design you nailed it! IMHO (and I wish I could build what you did.) The interior is way more spartan than one I saw where he didn't do the bed over cab. He did an impressive interior layout in a way small space. Sink porta potty exc. Its on the youtubes so I'm sure you've seen or can find it. Awesome job over man. Very impressive!
Love the video! I'll be ready to build something else after I finish this boat. Finding time has been my biggest issue though. Great job with the camper and I'm looking forward to more videos on the River as well!
I like it...I like the simple clean design (simplicity!). I'm a fabricator and built 2 custom street rods, a custom Jeep, a custom 76 step-side 4x4 chevy and now a 1 ton dually 4x4 flatbed. I'm a retired custom cabinet shop owner too...and this camper looks European...simple, clean and usable. The only thing I'd have done different is add more rivets...but that's just who I am :). You built it for the weekend getaway...load the food and go. Very nice indeed. Pat yourself on the back buddy. Most naysayers don't actually build anything...except their own laziness lol. I hope you have a lot of wonderful memories. EDIT: May I ask what the brand/model number is for your jacks? I'm thinking about building a camper for my dually flatbed. Thanks!
I too am an electrician that appreciates someone that cares about how "clean" the wires look.
I concur as a lectricon. Very workman like manor. This camper is awesome. Quality and detail without feeling like you drug a mobile home with you. Looks functional while still allowing you to utilize the outdoors since that is why you left home.
Fellow journeyman here let me tell you wire management is paramount 😉
If it’s worth doing do it right.
No one likes a rat nest of wires electrician or not l
What a lovely little Travel Cabin you've created, simple, yet entirely capable of the necessities of safety, security, warmth, beds, seats, and somewhere to prepare food and cook and to take care of personal hygiene requirements.

15:00 BEST PART - seeing how excited a man can get for doing a neat job. lol. GREAT JOB on the wiring.
We all have different needs, you built it for your needs, and it works for you, that's all that counts. Very clean build which exemplifies your workmanship.
Your camper looks like a factory product. It's a great design and awesome craftsmanship. You should be proud of your creation. Congratulations!
You do not give yourself credit. This is an incredibly neat build. Simple but strong and nice looking.Good job.
Outstanding. It would do a lot for the community of diy slide in camper if you mad a video on how you water proofed the whole thing.
The only thing I have to say is, thank you for making this video, I also have an F-150, & would love a camper like this, so I don't have to modify the suspension, very well done, I love the power box, most people would just through the wires in there & think that's good enough, this gives me the inspiration to start my own project camper, thank you.....
He should be proud of the wiring it looks great and.im not electrician.
The wiring...a thing of beauty😊
Luv your build! Very cool.
Clean wiring. And good clean build. Im a builder and I can see you did your homework on this project, nice to see the pride and passion.
Im about to start my build. Thanks for all your effort and information.
Awesome Quinton I know at some point it got to frustrating but that beauty of diy projects figuring it out on your it was you sharing your journey with this great build with us
Very nice job and it looks nice. I also like super simple inside. Agree with Chance on the clean wires. This is safer than bundles.
That is a really neat build. I congratulate you on a job well done. I admire people who are not afraid to tackle a big job.
This is still my favorite truck camper video.
Especially since he gave dimensions of everything !!!
I hope my build looks like this!!!
Perfect! Utilitarian, efficient, functional. Purpose built and built well. Great job and thanks for sharing.
I’m very impressed! Gonna need to check out how you built it! Great job!

Quinton, you did an absolutely fantastic job on the camper. What a great combination with Lucille! Very, very nice.
I’ve watched this two or three times already. I love it. Clean wiring.. You need a little harbor freight flag pole to deploy and have a Midsouth outdoor life flag.
Awesome build , I too have a truck with a short bed. Thinking of building something myself .
That is such a cool weekend camper. Love the fact you can take your camper and your boat out at the same time. Looks like you did a great job. You should put a Camping and fishing with Lucile logo on there!
The perfect truck palace,,,,,
All you need and then some ,,,,nice work!!!!
Thanks for your camper build It's been a great help to me...I have a Ridgeline, my son, a Ford. Your dimensions helped me to design for both. The whole "step" with power was very helpful and smart. Knocked out of the park ! Excellent job..
That is some very impressive neat wiring !! Nice camper as well
Great job! YT feed this one first so now I have to go back and watch the series from the beginning.
Really nice man! I have never been interested in a truck camper until now. Really cool, simplistic but will absolutely make fishing trips more enjoyable being able to get a good nights rest without the hassle of hauling a full size camper.
You did an excellent job should build them commercially
Looks good to me ! Everything except a backup generator for when the power goes out. Great Job and that wiring looks exceptional !!! You better get fishing.
A very nice well built camper 👍 and as you said it is all you need for that weekender or weeks.
I would love to have it. Great job to the both of you.
I like the whole thing ! Wouldn’t change notthing ! Great job!
Rivets? All metal frame? Interesting. Nice electric wiring. Camper is the way to go. Nice job.
Awesome job on the camper! I also like the look of a neat electrical panel. Very professional! I would have put a bathroom in but that’s my preference. I love everything about it. The wiring is a work of art. Great job. Only downside is now I'm inspired to build something and I don't have the time.
Nicely done bro. I just bought an F-350 I’m going to build my camper on and I hope to do as clean a job.
Like it alot, you did a really nice job. Just subscribed to check out the build. I'm rebuilding a older cabover camper with aluminum frame and you already got my attention with rivets vs. screws. That decision has been holding up progress considerably.

Awesome camper. I use mine all the time for my guide trips.
Love the camper! Ive been toying with the idea of building one. I need to watch the other videos.
Good job man! looks pretty sharp and thanks for the details. I love your honesty and humor!

Well thought out. As long as it suits your purpose, that's all that matters.
Very impressive build! I hope to build one myself..
amazing work man! inspiring
that is some clean wiring!
Fantastic build great job!
Great build. Suggest using rope for corner molding to give your interior a more finished look. Black or gray would look nice. Or, natural.
Great job love the awning.
Awesome I like it just the way it is super ingenuity. Gods blessings.
Great build
This camper is awesome!!

Nice build!
Awesome build my friend! Thanks
Awesome wire set up
That looks sick man
Definitely did an outstanding job on that camper! I would have added some type of cushion to the benches in there tho
U never fail if it works for u
